there is a section in this forum called Travel Plans (Before) for "Announcing your upcoming Netherlands trips and arranging meets" and another called Travelogues (After or During) for "Your Netherlands trip reports"
news of your amsterdam section (and i for one would love to hear about the rest of the trip too) would be fun to have here if possible
have a good trip, travel safely
ha just noticed you already know about the Travel Plans (Before) section

don't forget that Kerouac and Cassidy went west-east toocisco wrote:iv always fancied a road trip across the states ! Kerouac style east-west yee ha
talking of routes for road-trips there is a route slowly developing in my brain which goes like this:
1. start in boston and head up the coast of maine to nova scotia and newfoundland
2. drive across to vancouver via montreal quebec the great canadian plains the canadian rockies to british columbia get stoned visit the islands near vancouver
3. drive up the highway to the canada - alaska border
4. immediately turn around and head down the west coast past the redwoods and san francisco and then take route 1 by carmel and through the big sur to san diego just to pop into tijuana because i have never been there and then out quickly before anything bad happens
5. then drive diagonally north-east through the rockies to yellowstone via yosemite
6. then down through the mid-west plains to new orleans
7. take the train to chicago
8. visit chicago
9. take the train back to new orleans
10. drive east to florida and down to the florida keys
11. drive up the east coast back to boston and the end of the trip

Thats quite an itinerary Stoned, how long do you think you would need for a trip like that?
A trip round the US is pretty near the top of my list of TTDBID, but I think more Bill Bryson than Kerouac for me now, but thats cool I had some wild times in the states back in the days.
I want to see tumbleweed rolling down the street and those sand sculpted desert rocks, and those funny cactuses that look like traffic cops.
I think I just drifted into a fifties western movie here, so I shall go and make a cup of tea etc.
America:- good blow but rubbish tea
