Burger at the one near the rembrandtplein was the best of the two i had this trip and sad as i am i had identical orders to compare. Fresher bap, nicer fries and super fast service its also pretty good inside. Thumbs up 8)

As a regular burger/fries eater i was looking forward to this place but the burger was just o.k and the fries totally lousy, maybe just bad luck but bad enough to not get another try,for me and Embralady nowhere beats Getto's (Little gay bar/restaurant on Warmoesstraat)burgers 10-12 euro (different combos),lovely fries/salad/etc inc.Great cocktails, service, smoking patio area,Hunters and Greenhouse Effect within 50 metres for supplies,go here nearly every night when in town(shut monday)had some nice specials too like kangaroo, boar, ostrich.Sorry to offend all you BB addicts  but try these next time your in town, never a let down, must have been 50 times and the food is always great,Embralady's fave place in town, dinner here then 300 metres up the road to Nes,perfect :D Dreaming of next one already.Peace

Thanks for the Getto review, Embraman. I stumbled across this restaurant on another board and was thinking about trying it out. Now I'm definitely going to give it a try.

Thanks for the review. I'm always looking for a decent place to eat in Amsterdam. Especially one close to the NES 8)
Have a couple of follow up questions......
Would you recomend any dish in particular? What do you usually order when you go there? Is it ok to smoke weed there too?
How much did you produce?

Just had a quick look down the menu on Getto's website... Nice selection - and despite my newfound fervour for BurgerBar, I'm up for giving it a try... :D

If I had to find any faults with BurgerBar, it would be the frites I had the first time I was there - not the greatest I had ever had, but to be fair, I was there for the burger, not so much the frites... The next night, the frites were just fine! Both times though the burger was exquisite. :P

Ey up cisco, m8! I was just reading through your trip report, fella - nice job!

Sounds good to me bud! I'd be glad of the company, you know? I mean - I gotta watch meself when I go into "gay friendly" places in case I get hit on by all the guys, such a chunk of manly beefcake that I am!

Oh, I'm sorry - I just couldn't resist that!

But now I've stopped cracking meself up, yeah - I'd be deffo up for that... Fingers crossed you won't have such an EPIC transportation mountain to climb this time around, eh?

Then it'll be down to t'Nes for a wee swally to finish it off nicely... :D

Treetop, for me its always the burger or steak,i'm a beef only guy but Embralady loves the chicken burger, the fat chunky fries are to die for(get some extra if 2 of you-they are addictive).Theres usually some really nice looking specials too like Lamb Curry,Red Snapper etc.Not amazingly fancy food but cooked with care and pride, really nice/cool staff,we're usually the only straight/non tourists in and always get well looked after.(Used to advertise as straight friendly lol ) All (lovely)cocktails are 5 euro on sundays and all burger dishes 10 euro on tuesdays,to sit in a cool place, watching over the Warmoesstraat. We usually sit at the front bar area and eat so we can people watch and i can nip out for a spliff between courses, theres a little area like Nes where you can blaze, used to smoke inside but not since the ban,no probs though and to be honest i like to stand here and see everyone going past. One of my only regrets is not finding this place till visit no.10  Guarantee you will enjoy it mate, enjoy your trip.Peace,Embraman
