Think any burger place has to be better than the crap McDonalds & Burger King convince you is a superior burger :)

I was there yesterday. Had the 200g angus and it was average at best. But all in all... The food sucks in Amsterdam so I guess it's acceptable.

On my last few trips I have only ever visited the Kolksteeg location and never had anything short of an epic burger. At the beginning of Feb I went to the Reguliersbreestraat location warily after haering bad things about burger bar changing ownership etc on here. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my burger (270g Kobe) and IMO this place is still as good as ever.
P.S. I'm not usually the easiest customer to please

Went to the Kolksteeg one the other week and found the burgers to be the same as my last visit two years ago.

The menu's changed; they now have black angus, irish beef, kobe and philly steak. I had the angus and it was great.

Just went to the Burger Bar tonight, the burger was great!I had a 200 gram with chedder, small frites....
One of the best Burger and Fries I have EVER had!! Highest quality and I got the cheapest and smallest burger on the menu. This a tiny and very busy resturaunt. I don't know about the new management issues but I had no problem ordering and the food was top notch. Highly recommended.

Went to Burger Bar for my tea on Friday night (the one near De Kuil), it went down a treat.
Got the 200g black angus with bacon, cheese and onions. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten without a doubt.
This place has now overtaken Wok to Walk as my favourite fast food takeaway in the Dam.

Went there for some muncheroos one night and asked for two meals to go but when they were all cooked and good to go the frazled cook put the food on plates leading us to remind them we asked for it to go...man was theat a mistake! The 3 staff somehow freaked out and got messed up and confused and lost all notions of being calm and under control...my girlfriend and I looked on in shock as they suddenly turned on each other and started bickering and became very rude, throwing our food messily into bags and flinging them at us to get us out asap...rather irritating and offputting...pity, was reasonably nice food!

They really don't understand "to go". You need to say "take away".

I ended at the burgerbar for goodnight munchies 2 times on my trip a week ago. I had the kobe burger both times, and fries once. I give them 5 stars for very nice fastfood. Best burgers i ever had.
