I 've got no horse in this race ,Never been in AMS on 420 ,nor do I anticipate it for a ...few years at least ....so
By definition a 420 celebration MUST OCCUR AT 4:20 0n 4/20 ... (at 420 is of less importance in my eyes ,would chose the Nes myself )...Argument over ...If you're there ,you're there...NOW establishing a new ACD Tradition some other date would be extremely cool...
Another option would be to redesign the calendar ...I mean if you did that, you could make a 20th month and we could have 4/20 on 4/20 in April for the Yanks ...OR on 4/20 , the 4th day of the 20th month on our new specially designed calendar ....and make it whenever we want ... TGIF

edit - Just make sure when the calendar is remade that leap year doesn't occur in Feb. but that every four years ,at midnite on 4/20 we just have another 4/20...

Well I thought that too cept MH stuck it on the end of his post as if he meant the 420 meet.

btw, the owner of DeKuil said he was avoiding the big meetup and discussing ways to prevent it from happening again as he does not appreciate the business or disruption to his local customers. Enjoy your Amsterdam Spring.

I'll be in Amsterdam next year at the same time, think I might go straight to t' Nes though.
I certainly wont be going into De Kuil. I felt totally ripped off with MY purchases. Had it not been for all the cool people in 420, I would have left after the first dark black ash spliff that wouldnt burn.
Lesson learned though. I'll stock up from good shops then abuse t'Nes's 'cano

what do u mean? because of 1idiots actions u would not go 2dam 4 queensday celebrations? thats an overreaction our U.K government would be very proud of ive been 3times,trust me if u r the kind of person who likes a beer, spliff & a party then its something u have 2go 2 at least 1time, compared 2notting hill carnival this is much more violence&attitude free, i know from now i wont be able 2make next years 420 meet(parents 30th anniv) but i will definatly be at the queens day celebrations.

Maybe an official ACD meet later in the year might be a better angle to make. If would give me another reason to come to Amsterdam and would then be authentic to this site only. But i dont think the 420 meet should ever be changed, and TBH i dont think its our decision as its not just the ACD'ers that celebrate 420
