Somewhere near Duinrell - Best coffeeshop?

Post by Budfree »

Hi all

Off to Duinrell next week for a few days away with the wife and nipper so where do I head for the best weed around there?

I'll have a car with me so can travel.

Also, not knowing the area, is there a station near Duinrell that we can get into Amsterdam if we fancy a day trip? I don't smoke and drive so a train would be handy. She doesn't smoke (but doesn't drive either!)

Also, any suggestions of stuff to do or see around Duinrell? I'm a seasoned dammer but it's her first trip to Holland.

Cheers people.

Use the 'Search nearby' on Google maps (after locating Wassenaar) and type 'coffeeshops' into it, this'll give you an idea where the nearest one is, if you want to leave your car at the park and go off for a day trip you have to get the bus (5/10 min walk from the park) to either Leiden or Den Haag and get the train from one of these, if you can make sure you go and use the water park/slides when stoned it's brilliant fun, I quite liked Duinrell when I went a few years back.

Have a nice holiday.

Hey Boner

Nice one buddy, thanks for the advice. I'll make sure I blaze a proper fatty before I head for the water slides!

Woo hoo - can't wait!

I just came back from Duinrell, it's an amazing site. read my travelouge under a big thankyou.
Anyway there is no transport directly to Amsterdam, you will find info on site about a park and ride and this is so simple and the notes are excellent and easy to find..
On site you can hire the famous old style dutch bike and the routes available are all excellent. You can get a bike with a tow on the back so your kids don't need to worry about cycling.... Why am I going on about cycling you may wonder.... Well not to far from Dunirell is a town called leiden about 5miles, This is as lovely as Amsterdam, canals windmills and lovely places for the family to sit. No Stags or idiots like Dam has!!
There are 4 coffee shops that I am aware of in Lieden, but they do not allow smoking inside.. The best by far was a shop called Double AA, I got some cracking haze and DNA from there.
The down side is the shops don't open untill 4.00pm. What I did was hire a bike, left site at 3.30 got there for 4.00pm got my smoke and went back to the campsite. I told the missus how lovely lieden was and we all got the bikes and went there the next day, I left them sat in Mcdonalds and went round the corner to Double AA and bought a prerolled joint.
It really is worth a visit by bike... everyone does it and all routes are well signposted.. you need to be an idiot to get lost.. or stoned as it was the case for me.. Now that was fun....
read the travelouge it is quite funny.

haha you enjoy, there's pictures of the menu from doubleAA in my travelougue.
I also sent reviews to Lemmin and he's replied saying that he'll add them on. I haven't seen them yet so dunno when he'll get round to it.
