HI- sorry about not answering sooner.Works a bitch!!
All you have to do is go to boom chi. go inside walk up to the bar look to your write and you'll see a desk/table with a ledger book on it ,this is were you sigh up. if you have any questions just ask the bartender, there nice people. You might want to get all sighed up a few days before .to make sure you get a seat. also from what cpt.
Ingrid said ,about the only time the boats don't go out is when it's raining.the boats hold up to 11 persons.there small enough so you can go thru the smaller canals(rdl) I highly reccomend going- it's a hoot! :D :D :D

corsicanbro wrote:Sounds great. I originally planned to be at Grey Area at noon, but I think I will go check in after a couple stops on Haarlem Straat. I am staying down south, very close to Vondel Park. Looking at the map and if no major delays and I don't white out on the first spliff off the train, I hope to go check in and walk to Noon for a nooner, around noon that is. After that, maybe around 1330 I will head to Boom Chicago. Maybe be there around 1400. I will put my ACD name out there and I will try to reserve at least 5 spots unless more people indicate they want in. My first choice will be Saturday as close to 1800 as we can get. Second choice will be +/- 1 hour on Saturday. Third choice will be Sunday. After that I will probably check out the Rokerji (briefly) and head to Grey Area after that (hope to be there by 1600. D3 and blueridge try to hook up with me around 1400 at Boom if you like. If not, maybe we can catch up at Rokerji or Grey Area or the meet Friday night at Nes. I can't wait to meet you all there. Oh, I am 6' 240 lb dark hair, balding (probably wearing a hat), mustache and American and oh yeah I'll be smiling too.

I wont be arriving until the 14th. Could you reserve me a spot? Hopefully they will have availability. See you guys soon! Only a couple more days

hestia,

Thanks for the info; really appreciate it. I had read about St. Nick's in a guide book a couple of months ago and it sounded cool. Hearing about the great time you guys had over 420 with them sealed it for me.

corsicanbro,

Sounds like you are going to come out of the gate running :) I will be at Boom at 2pm on Thursday to hopefully meet yourself and d3lt4. I'm late 40's, 5-6 with brown hair wearing a green jacket and a facial expression resulting from a combination of jet-lag, child-like excitement and some fine outdoor sativa. (Wow, do you believe that sativa is not in the spell check dictionary  ) A week from now I will be in da Dam!!

Will be arriving early am on the 15th. the canal trip sounds like a blast as long as they let you smoke. I 'm for getting 8-10 people for a trip with just us. Any day on or after the 15th would work for me.

No problem brad. I've never been to Boom either. From hestia's post it looks like the sign-up sheet is on a table to the right of the bar. I suggest that we just meet up at the bar. Glad to hear that you can make the cruise. Hope to see you on Thursday.

I see the forecast has changed so I guess it does not matter.

st nicholas boat tours

Post by mdhfc »

we did one of these a couple of years ago one sunny september day

took a wee picnic, a few beers and some (self) pre rolled

was lovely and highly recommend.

the boat we were in was like a big rowing boat with a motor, so really close to the water and no wind protection - so wrap up

Well, here is the deal for any interested. Saturday is about booked up. Last tour is 1730. Sunday the only one scheduled is 1130, but may be too early. None on Mondays. There are with lots of openings on Tuesday, with one at 1730 on Tuesday 19th if anyone wants to do it then. Boom Bar and the square there was cool. I drank a beer and ate fries while stoned out, sat out by the terrace, identified blueridge and had a great time. Thanks for the great suggestions. And just think it was that much fun just trying to sign up :P
