Newbie - Leic UK!

Post by ARM »

First post after my first trip to amsterdam.

I have been smoking for about 15 or so years now, but never got around to visiting amsterdam as i always had something else pulling on my cash resources, wife, kids etc.

Finally made it over on Queens day through to the Sunday. I went with a party of 6 people, half had been to amsterdam before and the others were all first timers. We all had a great time, a bit like a kid in a sweet shop. Now the first time is out of the way i am already planning a return and going to do some planning on places to visit this time and prices of coffee shops etc. We didnt really tread of the tourist tracks tbh, mainly staying around the red light area, having seen the amsterdam map on here i have realised how little i actually saw!

The quality of bud is on a different level to that sourced over here, so next time i move house i think i need to keep in mind a place to start my own.
Any recommendations of cheap places to stay, coffee shops i must visit, strains i should try, best bud prices etc. will be appreciated.

my first suggestion is to read the recent reports in Travelogues (After or During)

a number of forum members have travelled to amsterdam in the last few weeks and smoked a reasonable amount and have written many words about what is good right now (early may 2009)

a quick peek in the topic suggests these three out of the many, but other forum members may remember names of reports that were also full of info

Twichaldinho's 420 Experience. Loads of pics.
420 Smoke Report with LS and Crew
Full 4/20 report (long w/ pics)
