You seem to be confusing empathising with sympathising...i can empathise with those in the Taliban...influx of Western culture, mis-interpretations of the Qu'ran, extreme poverty, American forgein policy perceptions, i can see why it happens. Does not mean i sympathise with them.

Once in a vicious circle it's hard to get out again. Life is too short, it doesn't matter who did it, just that it did and does happen is the only thing that counts. thats cool m8,i apologise 2 if i offended u, it would be boring if everyone agreed with one another, i dont in anyway support the taliban they are scum but i do support anyone that fights for their country. as some on here who have met me will know, my family are from cyprus, so i know what its like to have an invading force come in to your country. before the 1974 war my grandad had to come to the u.k because right wing separatists (EOKA) were killing anyone who didnt agree with them,the village where my family r from was 1of the worst it was split right down the middle half EOKA the other half who supported Makarios, to this day my grandad says the greek(cypriots) are to blame for the turkish invasion, but that doesnt mean he supported the invasion.my uncle was 1 of the thousands of soldiers who were captured alive by the turks&to this day we dont know what happened to him, after all this though some of my families best friends are turks,if you are ever in cyprus go to the village of Lymbia (20mins from larnaka) u can still see turkish troops situated at the stavros(a hill with a church overlooking the village), my point is however bad the situation in your country is, a foreign invasion is not the answer
i would also like too add for anyone who thinks i am supporting the killing of u.k troops, my 1st cousin is going to be sent out in the next few weeks

We've all heard first hand accounts of US Soldiers in Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan telling us of how they were told to befriend the locals and then - not a fortnight later - after gaining the trust of the locals - were told to kill those whom they had sworn to protect??????????? Remember, this lady is an award winning journalist. She finds that Islam is so misrepresented in the West that anything we see on national TV news regarding Islam is portrayed as the religion of hatred - she even mentions that on the internet - go to google and type in "Islam" - you will see that within the next 2 lines the word "terror" or "terrorism" will be mentioned to be a hundred times more likely than if you typed in Christianity or Judaism... it is this kind of censoring and manipulation which we've all gotta be aware of!!! Islam is not a religion of hatred or terrorism - or anything the sort...
