I was there last week. It was the first time that I was really impressed with their stuff... I tried the S5 Haze very nice crystall covered buds and the smell was so unbeliveable strong and hazy... the effect is a real powerfull sativa high nice! The smell is unique and something different to the most hazes available.
But one reason for my good expierence was that they got new stuff when I went to the shop I think... I had to wait 5 min till they served me because they had to refill their stuff. So all strains were very fresh and only sticky buds...
the last times I was there I wasn´t impressed with the quality because they had everytime I was there only shake and small buds... I don´t know if I only was unlucky on my last trips...

But after that good expierence I will check this shop out on my next trip again.

In 2010, I went to mellow yellow in both march and september. The Blueberry and the S 5 Haze where very good!

I had the blueberry in August and it was terrible. Not shake or anything like that, but the quality was just awful. Bought 2g (was kind of roped into it) and ended up giving most of it away to a guy i met the next morning. The S5 Haze was a different story altogether though.

I was there last week somewhere around 8. The place was very crowded but I managed to get a seat anyway though. Got cheese from there, smoked a joint with a coffee which wasn˙t very good and the stuff is pretty average too, so I rolled next one from my own stash. This coffee shop was very spacious and had good music on (can`t remember what) so I guess it could be nice mid day place to chill, never got around to it though, too many other places.

I managed to finally visit Mellow Yellow last spring. I don't remember exactly what I had, most likely a Sativa as it was day time. The staff did their job and there was an open seat by the window. Should have been ideal to light one up but I just did not feel comfortable. No ones fault, perhaps I was feeling a bit paranoid from the onset of some spacecake purchased from Kadinsky.

Had a similar experience in Basjoes, was not feeling a good vibe. What is that horrible expression, "it's not you it's me". I don't put too much stock in first impressions so I shall pay a visit to both of these shops in April. Second time lucky!

this was my first ever coffee shop (2003) but i will never go back.

We were in a large group so as always decided to sit down before placing our orders so not to crowd the bar.Before we got to our seats we were told to go back to the bar and order before sitting and if we wanted to smoke we will have to buy and not just get drinks, all in all they were very rude to us so we left.

i went there today and got Black Widow Haze 12€/g, SSH, 10€/g, Amnesia Haze 8€/g and Blueberry 7.5€/g, and S5 Haze 13€/g (5g/50€).

S5 Haze - looks very good ,very nice dry buds, sparked with lot of crystals. A good smoke althought short high.
SSH - this is most psychedelic weed tried until know, very stimuling, inducing some anxiety, and very psy effect quiet good.
Black Widow Haze - Nice buds but not as nice as S5 Haze, regular smoke, not that strong, not worth the money.
Blueberry - Very tasty and fruity, smooth smoke, relaxing effect, good for the price.
Amnesia - Trying tomorrow

i tried amnesia haze good wasnt impressed, the katsu's amensia seemed much better but at 10€/g instead of 8€/g something to consider.

im very impressed with SSH, i've run more tests today and its so strong that just a very tiny amount with some blueberry to give some nice relaxing and stimulating effects, my fav weed mix so far.

This was my first stop on my most recent trip. Was staying at Hotel V (cool staff and hotel, just a little overpriced and not smoker-friendly), and this wasn't far down the road.

I literally sprinted there from the hotel, eager to step into the York peppermint patty. When I got there, I foolishly ordered a pre-rolled J of white widow as I was sooo ready to just get things going. Bad move. I barely ever smoke tobacco, and totally forgot that most pre-rolls are split with wacky and tobacky. Ripped it hard about 5 times before I finally realized what I had done. Major head rush, dizziness, palms sweating, and a group of locals who were talking mad shit about me even though I couldn't understand them. I just kept hearing "American" and saw the looks coming my way. Fuck it, unless you're literally in my face ready to throw down I could give a shit.

It wasn't going to go down like this, not here. I quickly got up, went back to the bud tender, and got 2 g's of some Blueberry. Very nice. Rolled up about 1.5 grams and went to town. Sat there and killed the whole damn thing. In some wierd way, I felt as if I had earned the locals respect by sitting there all alone in a crowded place just not giving a fuck.

Went back again two other times since it was close by, but its nothing I'll go out of my way for in the future.

*Side note...in 2006, this was the place my buddy "lost his shit" at when he started tripping hard on some shrooms. He had his friend take him to the hospital where he later told nurses that he was "dying". I'm sure they hear and see just about everything over there.

i also advise you guys to take always ID/passport in amsterdam, and specificallto mellow yellow, they randomly asked people for IDs not sure why, more than other places.

^ yeah i have noticed that, they are proper on the ID, not a problem as i always have ID.

i do always get that local feeling in there but at the top with the fusball table is a nice place to chilli for a bit.

the sleaze was the best thing they had on my last trip, went back for more but the second batch wernt as good, still nice tho, was one big bud left so i got that.

most things are good here from my past buys, always seems to be the same guy working in there who seem a little annoyed to be there but not rude.

Called in here on Saturday. Out if Blueberry unfortunately & out of honey hash too. Ended up buying 2 grams each of Lavender & Choco. Both lovely & fruity smelly but Choco def the better of the two. Great stoned & tastes good too.
