1st Trip to Amsterdam :)

Post by 6gar »

Hello there !
I'm from Paris, and i'm going to Amsterdam with a friend from the 25th June to the 29th June, we are both 19.
First, is there a lot of people in Amsterdam during this period of the year ?
We are staying at the Park Plaza Vondelpark Hotel wich seems to be a great place :D .
I bought the Iamsterdam card, i planned to visit the Van Gogh museum, the torture museum, the hash museum, the heinekenn experience, and other stuff :)
We also wanna try a lots of buds :) What are the best coffeeshop(s) ? I want to avoid tourist's coffee as Bulldog, i want some calm places with great weeds..
What do you think about the Jazz Alto Cafe ? Do you know places where there is sweet music ? What are the best places to eat (besides BK, Subway, Mac D's) ?
That's it for the moment :)
Thanks.

The best shops IMO are Mellow Yellow, De Kuil, and Grey Area. But every1 has different tastes and you may find another shop to be your favourite. I also like Barney's and like to start my days off there even if they are the most expensive shop in Dam. Also shops like Paradox and Bluebird are good places to chill.

Cant really help on the touristy things as i havent done any touristy activities when visiting Amsterdam

Have fun on your trip
Excuse me while I light my Spliff.....

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted you on the June Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
There are several Meet and Greets during your visit.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=33482

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

Enjoy

Hi again :)
I wanted to ask you some advices about the different weeds for the different times of the day for example in the morning because we don't want to be out and unable to do anything ... And on the afternoon, by night... Whatever you have to say :D
Also what places are nice to eat, such as BK or subway ...
Thanks :)

I am told that you should stick to mainly sativa strains {high}in the morning and gradually make your way onto the pure indica strains {stoned} and as for the food you will probably eat any old rubbish with the munchies. Its 10 years since I have been in the Dam and the food was in general crap but it seems to be beginning to improve, see the food section in the forum for more up to date info......should we expect the pleasure of your company in Katsu on saturday?

Go With the Flow

All the answers to your questions, and much more, are in one category or another of the Forum. If you take a look of the first page or two of any category, you will see all of the current comment, thought, or whatever about that category, what's in, what's out, what's hot, what's not, etc.

If that doesn't bring you up to speed, you can narrow in on specific things by using the Search tab at the top of the page.

When you get to Amsterdam it won't matter anyway, because you will just go with the flow and discover all kinds of wonderful things, like everyone else does.
