Is September a good time to visit the Dam?
My boyfriend and I are planning our first trip and we were going to go to the Cannabis Cup but we don't really want to deal with the cold and windy weather. So is September a good time to go?

I would avoid going a few days before and after 10-15 September as the IBC conference is in-town those dates.Metalferrets wrote:My boyfriend and I are planning our first trip and we were going to go to the Cannabis Cup but we don't really want to deal with the cold and windy weather. Room rates are increased during this time frame.

If you do not like crowds do not go for April 30 or December 31.
If you don't like crowds, try Haarlem. It's a 15 minute train ride from Amsterdam and has a healthy coffeeshop scene of its own.
You should at least do a day trip to this fun little city.
If you are feeling real adventurous go 30 minutes the other direction and see Utrecht. A college town it figures the coffeeshop scene there is mostly young ( to me anyway ) folks. Attention shoppers! The train station is in a shopping mall.
Enjoy
