Is September a good time to visit the Dam?

Planning a trip to the Netherlands? Post the details here.

We know there is no real BAD time to go we just wanted to know if September was good time go with the weather. I can handle some rain but when it is cold to go along with it that sucks. So I now know Septemer is indeed a good time to go.

I'm from Florida and I went to Amsterdam in September 2007 for 2 weeks (doing the same thing this year). I was fine with no more than a light jacket, like a windbreaker with a hood for rain. I really only needed the jacket the first couple hours of the day, and starting again a short bit after sundown. Keep in mind I live in the tropics and have little tolorance for the cold.

We live in Knoxville, Tennessee but were not FROM here thank goodness. I am from Frankfurt, Germany (born and lived there first 2 years of my life) and my boyfriend is from Indiana. I like the cold better than the heat by far and I can handle it more but I still don't like freezing cold+windy. Jay (boyfriend) has a pretty high tollerance for cold because like I said he is from Indiana and when it snows there it is relentless and several feet deep. But he has lived in Tennessee for 7 or 8 years (not too sure) so his tollerance is lowering and he can't handle the cold as much as he used to.

But we will be fine it can rain and storm all it wants I don't think there will be much that can upset us once we are there. I'll bring some long sleeve shirts, hoodies and an umbrella.

I missed the fact that you are going to be there in September also. Maybe you will see us there or vice versa. We are leaving on the 17th or around that time just not before the 16th because of an IBC conference someone warned us about. We will be there for 2 weeks, maybe more who knows.

I'll be in town Sept. 5-19. We can get in touch closer to Sept. and maybe set up a meet and greet or something of the sort.
