Were i am located i have pretty good options of whether to buy mids or high grade. The price difference is absolutely huge however. One ounce of mids (mexican) would run me about $90 (a QP of this is $300) and one ounce of high grade here is $500! Good strains such as Blueberry goo, Blue dream, NYCD, God Kiss, Trainwreck, Bubblegum, AK-47, Afghani, Jasmine, etc etc are $70 for an eighth here.

I am making this thread to get everyone's updated opinions on what you would do in this type of situation. I am not a quantity person and I am all about the quality so i don't mind paying this much as long as I get a product that is worth paying for. I made this decision after smoking 6 bowls of mid back to back and felt very little high in comparison to 1 or 2 bowls of the strains listed above. Not to mention I like to having that blueberry flavor or diesel flavor or spicy flavor, etc etc and a very smooth smoke instead of the mids dirt taste/rough smoke imo.

So what type of person are you a quantity or a quality person?

quality every time for me, turn more down than i buy now, as its normally shite.

$70 an eigth is a bit much. and i thought my dealer was bad.

that said though like you im quality over quantity. if that was the only price avail id probably pay it as well.

Yea it is pretty expensive I know but it kicks Mexican brick weeds ass! I pay it though because the strains I can get are always varied and its always been quality. I mean i couldnt get purple snow caps from just anyone.. All the strains are good so the dealer has my trust for his product which is important.

yeah it has to be quality for me everytime ! that goes for everything weed , wine , women and song !

fuck, my mom was telling me today that she used to get an ounce for $40.

inflation estimates put that around $100 now.

ive never even held a full ounce other than a coffeeshop tupperwear. 1/8s and 1/4s at the most for me. but i'm also living below technical poverty line so we try and make that shit last.

thus, we opt for quality.

another factor is the violence. while i'm an unabashed criminal, murder and all the other shit that comes with the large scale drug trade is not cool with me. now most things we buy on a daily basis cost someone their life, from our coca cola cans (brutal shit carried out in their name in latin america) to the shoes made by children. i dont like any of that, but its unnavoidable alot of the time. but we luckily buy from the hippies usually, people i know wouldn't touch a nike, let alone drugs from the cartel murderers in mexico. they have good high quality bud with no risk of a guilty conscience, its worth a bit of a premium to me.

(and drug dealing anarchist hippies HATE cops more than the average drug dealer, they wont squeal on you if they get jacked like the homeboys will)

Always quality over quantity....its much better to have a little bit of something good in my opinion.......but shouldnt that be the same for everything in life?

Although with the prices around the Midlands its getting more and more expensive to smoke the quality!

i find mixing mid grade weed with a few hash tokes is smoking the best

quality baby!!!....been paying $450/z for all the cali strains..in fact, just today picked up some lovely samples of chemdog,blue dream,headband, g13, cheese, blackberry....yeah, i'm a pretty happy camper!
