What better way is there to start a trip than at Club Media, it was around 11:00 after we had dropped our bags in at the hotel and had wandered across to De Pijp. We had a warm welcome both from the attractive young bud lady and the little black and white cat; who apparently lives across the road at the cheese shop but wanders over to media every day and has to be collected by the owners at closing time as he is too stoned to want to walk anywhere.

I asked for the champagne haze but they were out, doh, so I went for the super silver haze for €11 per g as my first joint. This was more like super sticky haze, I still had no grinder at this point so used my fingers to break up the joints worth, by the time I finished I was able to pick up my pen off the table only using the resin on the tip of my finger! So I smoked the joint along with a cappuccino, there were only two other people in the shop, my friend and I sat back in comfort and discussed our plans for the weekend.

I had wanted to buy some more for the €15 ice hash that I had enjoyed back in September, again they were out so I asked the bud lady if the €25 ice was much better, she told me that it was good and worth the money as she had enjoyed her samples but she admitted she had not tried the €15 one; I opted to try half a gram of this €12.5 which I smoked latter that night, yes it was very smooth and strong but to be honest propably not worth that much more extra money, I am more than happy staying with the €15 variety in future.

Plus I got a gram of the Dutch Hash 1 at €12.50, now this is more like a fine Moroccan than a ice hash but made in Holland. It did not hold the unique flavours than you get in the best Moroccans but is more than able to hold its own in terms strength. I liked this hash and I'd be happy to purchase more as the price is fair, the taste is good and gives you a punch.

Whilst we were there my friend also used the 10% discount on 5 grams and purchased their Nepal €6 a gram, 5 grams €27, he is not a big smoker but is happy to smoke a little hash now and again. He gave me a joint to roll one evening, its not the most pliable hash I have held and you can feel a few impurities when rolling the snakes. It was tasty enough when smoked, I smoked half the joint before I went to bed and the effects did not really cut through my already blurred mind; but I finished it off the next morning it had quite a nice mellow feeling, not going to blow you out of the water but keep you floating along nicely. The hash did the job for what my friend wanted and he was more than happy with the size of his bag and the price, if it were me I guess I would want to go for the Nepal+ €12 or the Indian €15 per gram but every one to their own.

So we finished the drinks and floated off to the market street, I was back in Amsterdam and up and running. Top notch gear at a great Coffeeshop, a must visit for me these days

Seriously disappointed there wasn't any champagne haze last week, gotta be one of my all time favourites. Does anyone know if it's been discontinued or if it's just out of stock?

They had it in yesterday, I didn't look at the actual stuff as I had already bought all the bud I was getting at that point.

Hindu Kush isn't as good as usual, leafy and a bit under flushed. Pink on another hand is again an excellent smoke

Was in on Saturday for a smoke, didn't fancy the Hindu Kush but the Champagne Haze was lovely, I like this strain and it was as good as i've had before, it was so good I didn't look at anything else budwise and got some more to take away, also got some Nepal Pollen at 15 a gram, it was nice but in hindsight should just have got more Champagne, could smoke it all day.
Also got table service and they ran a tab till we left, I like these wee touches Media do, I had my non smoking Mum and her partner with us this time and they were impressed with it compared to the shops in the centre, another good visit as usual to my favourite shop :)

It was a much cooler and more overcast day today than yesterday. The wind was especially chilly as I started out from Almere Haven this morning.

After arriving at Centraal Station, I took a tram down to Albert Cuypmarkt and took a look at the various offerings on display. As I was walking back after having reached the end of the market, it started to rain. Luckily for me, I was just around the corner from Club Media, so it was the perfect place to get in out of the wet and cold.

As I entered the shop, I noted that the opening time was 09:00 or 9 AM. I ordered up a gram of good old White Widow (for later) at €9.50 and then went into the lounge area which seemed much more comfortable and lounge-like than it did on my visit last year. There were several people in the smoking area and I noticed a gentleman was enjoying the use of the Volcano vaporizor

There is a service counter also in the lounge area which features barstool seating and that's where I ordered a Coca-Cola and some M&M's Peanut... sad substitute for the stroopwafel I wanted to get before the rain came.

The shop was busy with several additional customers as I sat there and observed. Some were buy and fly purchaeses and some people came into the lounge. The lighting was subdued so it was easy on the eyes. The music was mellow and at a reasonable volume but I could not recognize any artist.

I enjoyed my brief visit to Club Media and give this shop 2 thumbs up!

Popped in on the morning of the 21st before a TnT at CS137. I walked into the booth the be greeted by a tired looking female BT and had a look at their Champagne Haze, Pink and Hindu Kush. CH smelt great but was popcorn so I passed, on the other hand the pink looked bloody fantastic but smelt very very mild. I went with the HK because it had an appetising mix of sweet bubblegum-y and that heavy musky indica smells and was COVERED in crystals. This was the frostiest nug I bought all trip. As it was the first smoke of the day (after a long 420) so after I was buzzed through, I sat down and smoked some hash instead of my purchase. The space is very open, like a modern cafe in East London - even the kitchen are open and part of the same room. Nice local vibe as always. Later when I did get round to smoking the Hindu though, I was a straight blast to my motivation to the day. When I say I was cruising on my bike, I was pretty much stationary at times. It's not overwhelmingly strong but it definitely earns its name 'The Mother of Indicas'.

Very jealous. A couple of weeks ago the Champagne Haze was excellent as ever, but the Hindu Kush was not. My mate was warned it was a bit fresh and could do with being left out overnight, personally I would have left it at that, and the leafy look of it, but he bought a g (€11) anyway and even after letting it dry it was not up to much either of us thought. Disappointing given how batches have been here before, and sounds like are again.

I do like this shop though, the clean, modern interior has a different feel to many coffeshops, which gives it something to offer alongside a usually good menu.

Hindu Kush in february was shit. It was not properly flushed and barely trimmed.
The one I bought on tuesday was excellent. Pot of Gold was excellent too. But both of them were far from being perfectly trimmed.
