in zandvoort there is of course the beach and the sea, but zandvoort is also on the edge of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park which has lovely paths for walking and cyclingBongbhoy wrote:what is zandvoort like
some info:
Zuid-Kennemerland National Park in en.wikipedia.org
Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerland in www.npzk.nl (Dutch)
Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerland in www.natuurmonumenten.nl (Dutch)
the last two websites are in dutch but there are lots of pictures which show the beauty of the dunes

yes amsterdam or also consider haarlemBongbhoy wrote:would i be better getting stocked up in the dam?
i have had experience of all the willie wortel's shops in haarlem - Sativa, Indica and Sinsemilla
they were very nice and had great amnesia haze, but these shops have not been getting good reviews lately
Easy Going and Birdy both get good references, but i have not been to either yet
haarlem in itself is a very nice place for a day out or two, it has good museums and the scene with the canals is like amsterdam, the advantage is there are fewer people about and sometimes prices are better
teyler's museum is amazing, the frans hals museum is also supposed to be good

i think it is a lovely placeBongbhoy wrote:but never seen haarlem
and if you like model cars, there is the most amazing shop (maybe it is called autorama ???) near the teyler's museum
it has thousands of models, maybe even tens of thousands, ranging in price from a few euros to many many many euros
i spent an hour in there looking at each and every car, all the lovely collector sets of ferraris and other amazing models, looking in particular for a 1956 chevrolet bel-air in either red-and-white or blue-and-white
i think i found one, but couldn't afford it, so left empty-handed ...

Have a good holiday m8
. I dont get all this "stocking up" thing, when you are in Holland in most places you can just pop in to the local c/s and get a bit of what takes your fancy. I'll go with '67 on Haarlam, its a neat place with some good coffee shops, I had a nice bit of amnesia haze in willie wortels sativa last week at a good price and quality. In Zandvoort its the seaside in terms of the coffee shop scene but there ain't nothing wrong with that, you are on holiday with the family after all, some locals call it Amsterdam on Sea. If the weathers good
Yanks c/s has a very nice terrace outside, and its connected to the bar next door, although you can go into the bar with a spliff you cant transit the alcohol into the coffee shop. Which suits me personally I dont really like the boozy vibe when I'm flying.
Lots of love and peace to you and your family
