July 9:th - 14:th, the Swedish invasion!!

Post by inthegreen »

Haha, not really an invasion actually, more like a one-man pilgrimage. ;)

I'm coming down to Amsterdam next week to visit a good friend of mine. He's making a living working at the Flying Pig Uptown, which is also where I will be staying. I've heard some nice things about that particular hostel (so if you have any information or funny anecdotes about the place, please share! :D) I'm also curious to see who my roommates will be in the 8-bed dormitory..!

I plan to spend my days strolling around, exploring the city, maybe renting a bike to get around more easily. I've been scouring around the forum to find good coffee shops to check out, and great weeds to sample, but my list just keeps growing for every travel report I read. Seems like I almost can't go wrong. :D (Although it looks like many of you like hanging out at Basjoe? Seems like a nice place.)

There will of course be visits to both The Old Man, (from the pictures I imagine it will be like turning 5 years old again and walking into a toystore), and Sensi Seeds, to perhaps pick up some good tips on how to grow successfully in our northern climate. :)

Oh, and I cant wait to learn how to roll a typical slim joint. (Up here we always make big spliffs mixed with loads of tobacco, which is a shame I think. It doesn't exactly open your eyes to the finer subtleties of cannabis, so it's time to enjoy it as nature intended!)

Other than that, I'm just hoping to run into nice people and have a good time!

do you mean a pure joint?

ie one without tobacco?

if you can roll big ones, you can roll little ones

the main difference between rolling with tobacco and rolling pure is that with tobacco you don't have to be so fussy about the state of the weed, it can be a little bit wet and maybe a bit too roughly or a bit too finely prepared in a grinder, and the joint will still burn fine

when rolling pure, the weed has to prepared to the right size bits, not too big as the joint won't burn evenly and not too fine as it won't burn well or at all

good luck ...

Yup, pure is what's on my mind. It does indeed sound more like an art than a science. :)

i think i made it sound a little too complicated

with a little practice you will be fine

if you grind the weed, the texture will be fine, the odd lump can be broken up by hand to create an even texture

maybe practice with the small papers first

but you will be fine and you will also be tobacco-free which is good imho

enjoy your smoke ...

Thanks StonedSince'67 :)

By the way, I heard that many coffeshops have volcano vaporizers, something I absolutely wouldn't mind having a go at. :D Do many coffee shops around town have these?
