Im an electro house DJ first and foremost. Like you i really dont have time to check whether my tracks are classed an minimal, trance etc. i simple run with the attitude that if i like it i play it!! Of course i have some 'french house' in my bag too!! although thats not the sole reason for my gig in Paris!!
You gonna make it to Amsterdam for the MeetUp????? :?:

No idea man, its in 2 months, will have to see whats up then, although I would like to meet other house-djs, especially when they already have a career and can give me some idea how to manage this and that :D (if I make it to the meeting, you will have to answer all of my questions, so think twice before inviting me ;) )
will let you know.
where do you inspire yourself? I always look out for the tracklists from the live-sets of elektroaktivisten.de or Beatport. Right now I got another hot thing, its an internet-radio called Frenchkissfm.com plays nice NEW french house (this new thing with acid-sounds to it you know what I mean, terror-music ) so fucking nice!

what do you use to DJ? old-school vinyl/timecode-system or the modern mp3/midi-controller thing?
I use the Stanton Finalscratch, because I love playing Vinyls (I cant stand these midi-controller thing, there is nothing to do for the DJ anymore in my eyes....) but I dont want to buy EVERY SINGLE song I play. Of course the songs I know I will be hearing in 10 years as well are here on original Vinyl :)

Unfortunately, I grew up with the 1200's and 1210's. Stanton didn't even do a pro deck in my day!! They only did cartidges and styli (? No idea of the plural of stylus). Vestax began to do a very good deck towards the end of my DJ career. I got bored of DJ'ing and sold my decks, but kept my records. Now in the last 10 years my records collection has dwindled to about 1000 records. I've not had a way to play them for 5 years, lol

Im kind of in the same boat as you SR Technics were industry standard back in the day ,before all the others jumped aboard ! vestax for 1 and there are many others that have got in on the DJ turntable market  out of interest what type of music did you spin Soul Rider ? 8)

Pretty much everything. My record collection currently still gives an idea of what I used to spin, but includes, House, from American deep house through to Euro pop house, Trance, from original Goa sound to Cheesy Euro Pop Trance (although this seems to be the dance mainstay now, people like ATB, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto etc), Drum n' Bass, from Original Jungle to far out phuture beats, Hardcore, from Old Skool to Happy (keep it quiet, but I also have a decent Gabba - Dutch terror core music collection - cos terror is more extreme than hard, lol) Breakbeats, from chilled hip hop to trip hop, from Big beat to low-fi, jazz cuts to electro, basically, I love a break :)

That's the sort of stuff i'd play out, depending on what sort of gig I had :)
