New to the scene......

Howdy all!
Like the title says, I'm new to the scene, haven't smoked for several years. But, getting back into it mainly for medical reasons, my back is severely messed up! Or at least that's the story I'm sticking to!
But anyways, I found this site a while ago, and came back recently, as a lurker, but now I'm taking the plunge! With all the info here, I can't wait for my first trip to the 'dam! Normally I go to Vegas for my birthday, but this year, (well, next year, 2010), I'm gonna try my best to get to the Dam, especially since my bday is 4/19!

That's exactly what I was thinking, what better time to be there than for 420! And with all the people from here that will be there, I'm sure that it would be a blast!!

Hell yeah!
Like I said, I normally go to Vegas, but I need a break from there. Been going there at least twice a year for almost ten years now, just need a different venue to see. Now all I need to do is kick this workers comp into high gear so I can start making definite plans!!
How crowded is 'dam at 4/20? I don't mind crowds all that much, but I'm not a big fan of hordes of people.

Sweet Home Chicago
within the website that FlyByNite mentions there is a section entitled
How not to get hit by a bike
please please read this document before you arrive, it will keep you safe
imho, the traffic comes at you from 360 degrees and you need to spin like a top sometimes to cross the road, and you may be stoned/high/gonegonegonelikeacoolbreeze, so thanks
the document is only 4 pages so it is easy to print and read at your leisure
to get you in the mood for your 420 birthday celebrations next year here are some 420 reports from last april:
Twichaldinho's 420 Experience. Loads of pics.
420 Smoke Report with LS and Crew
Full 4/20 report (long w/ pics)
i hope you have a great trip to amsterdam ...

Beautiful! Thanks for all the info. I've already read the "How not to get hit by a bike" several times, good info, but now it's time to hit the AAR's.
I think I've got my plans almost in order, just trying to get a group together so we can get an apt or houseboat, it just seems easier that way. We can all be in one place, and most importantly, we can all smoke there!!
I'd like to be there for like 8-10 days, that should be long enough to get a good feel for the place. Plus, I'd like to take a day or two trip to Brussels, depending. But we'll see, I just may be too stoned to care!
