Edibles Goods for long flight home

I have a 10 hour flight when returning home and would like some choices of possible treats and which shops supply them. Over the next few trips will be trying different types of goodies and will be reporting.

Well I have to admit that eating weed just does not work for me.

My last trip I made a special trip to Paradox CS to purchase some spacecakes (4) known to be the best in Amsterdam'

Before my flight home I was outside the airport smoking up the last of my weed and after I ate one cake(the taste was good)

After a hour or so I ate another and two hours later the last one and I can honestly say I felt no effects on my 9 hour flight home.

I guess eating is like smoking hash for me,absolutely no effect.

Maybe too much LSD in the 60's

The highest I have ever been, on Cannabis, is from edibles. Indeed, if you like the way an acid trip sets in (i.e. wait about an hour and then keep climbing for hours) then you would like the effects of a properly made space cake.

Alas, I do not think prior acid use would affect the outcome, provided that you can still get high from smoking grass.

I'd say those cakes were not made correctly. Keep in mind that the shops weakend the cakes in response to tourists getting way too fucked up on them.

Having said that, my first time in Amsterdam (early 1980's), I found that one space cake did not do much, but another flavour, purchased one day later (from the same shop), got me incredibly wasted. What flavour of cakes did you eat?

I found that the "spice cake" (i.e. Traditional Dutch spice cake) flavour did not do much, but the chocolate one got me wasted. I wondered if the budtender misheard me and thought that I wanted a spice cake instead of a space cake? OR maybe, due to the higher fat content in chocolate, more cannabinoids were in solution OR they did not propertly mix the cannabutter through the mix, etc.

Any cakes/cookies that I have made have gotten me incredibly wasted.
You might want to try making your own (that way you KNOW they will pass quality control)

Weed still gets me very high,but thinking about it,I also took peyote and mushrooms that did not do much,except I seem very heavy,for lack of a better way to discribe the feeling.Being we all react so different it makes life so interesting.

I will continue trying.

It does indeed.

If you have some problems with you digestive system (IB, Crohns, etc) and/or have had surgery to stomach/intestines, etc, then it might affect your cannabinoid absorption?

For best results, eat canna-edibles on an empty stomach. BUT, I still get wasted even on a full stomach.

Otherwise, I'd say keep tyring.

I, usually, put at least 1/2 oz to 1 oz (or more) of top notch bud into my edibles. (I put that amount into the cannabutter and I do NOT remove the bud from the butter once I have made it. I put it all into the mix and the frosting. My spacecakes do have a VERY strong cannabis flavour, that might be offputting to some, BUT they DO work!)

I have over the years tasted many CS cakes etc and non of them really did that much. I am a heavy smoker so my tolerance is high.
Now I just smoke and forget about the edibles.
If your tolerance is high then that could be why you did not get much of the cakes.....Despite what the shops say their cakes are not that strong if you have ahigh tolerance.

Yes, IF the coffeeshops have made the cakes very weak, then your tolerance might make the cakes a waste of money. However, if made properly, then, as long as you can get high by smoking weed, then edibles will get you very fucked up.

The Space Muffins from Grey Area at €5 were great I had one when travelling home and felt really mellowed out after an hour or 2 but nothing outstanding, I would have liked to have ate 1 or 2 more. The GF who isn't a regular smoker was really stoned on one of these and lasted a good few hours. I would say for a regular smoker these are good for when you aren't smoking.

the cookie at 420 for 7€ are not worth it. they did not have any effect on me. the cake from dampkring was ok. my homemade muffins and cakes really were soooooo much stronger and stoning than the ones purchased.
