Season for fresh black hash

I was wondering when was the moment of the year when coffeeshops receive fresh black hash... is in the autumn, at the harvest date in the himalayas ? (i think i read this somewhere)

does someone have a clue ?

great question, not one which I have an answer to. Anyone? Do the C/S's receive fresh supplies of black hash the whole year round or is it more likely to be fresher/ more potent at a certain time of year>?

i would assume that would really vary between coffeeshops and there sources. also would depend on how much the coffeeshop sells. im sure the shops that sell a ton would go through it quickly and i doubt 1 coffeeshop takes an entire imported shipment. surely i would assume that it would be sold off to many different suppliers. also is it fresh because it was just imported? what if it sat around for a while on the other end before being shipped over here? or does it get shipped imediately after processing?

good question tho, many someone more in the know can pitch in.

has nothing to do with harvesting, because the blacks are made in TONS, many tons, which means they send out hash every few months.

I'd say freshness does depend on time of year as the plants have to grow before they can be made into hash, so I'd assume it would be when the harvest time is, which is normally about October

Dont Hash producing countries tend to Stockpile - to - cure. I.E. Any thing exported would be from LAST seasons crop?

I know that they do it with some moroccan hash so maybe they do with the darker hashes as well, but theres definitely a differance between fresh hash and older hash so I dont really know.
