Hans Brinker Hostel

Hey, just wondering if anyone has stayed in the Hans Brinker Hostel, me and a few friends are staying there for a few days at the end of july. They advertise as being a very basic hostel, which doesn't bother me....not planning on spending too much time there, but just wondering if anyone has any experience of the place of heard anything about it....?

stoped there 2times &will be stopping again september..you get what you pay for m8.its ok its got a nightclub down stairs,you dont get any grief about smokeing.i like it m8......

They dont even advertise as neing a basic hostel!!!!!, they advertise as no frills, no this, no that, lol...

However, on my 1st 2 trips to Dam a few years back now, i stayed at the Hans Brinker, wasnt the cleanest, but it was a bed and a locker and a shower, thats all u need in Dam!!!.

Check out the coffeeshop just down the road on the right, Happy Feelings, it was called Global Challenge when i visited the back in 2001, from what i remember i got most of my weed from there.

i was there last november, and it's ok, but my locker was smashed and i couldnt use it , had to use the station's one...
u cant smoke in the room ..

after stayin there last weekend i can confirm that i won't be there again...both my mates got bites all over their body from bed bugs and all of our lockers didnt work. there is basic and cheap and then there is taking the piss!
