i got scammed.

yeah so i noticed a sum of money missing from my bank account, called the bank, and some people's called 'Dundas and Brock' have taken money out of my account on 4 occasions in 2 days in CAD, which ain't my currency...and their query on the matter takes 6 weeks...with no feedback inbetween.
So i google Dundas and Brock and it comes up with intersecting streets in Ontario...there seems to be 2 banks on those corresponding corners CIBC and Bank of Nova Scotia.... All seems very strange.

Thoughts?

Sorry to hear of your troubles, sounds like someone is skimming your account, call your banks fraud and investigation department and ask them to get to the bottom of it, and don't accept this 6-8 week bullshit.

Yeah dont take that 6-8 weeks bullshit, I had similar happen to me a year back and the bank refunded all which was taken over 2 months straight away.

I would say look at other banks to maybe move to in the future.Weird that u caught it and ur bank didnt.

yeah the dumb bank calls it a 'dispute'...i have to call them back on Monday to dispute the last transaction they made anyways so i'll hassle them then...
Surprisingly im not feeling stressed about this. bigger fish to fry, i spose.

Funny you should speak about banks! i wired a payment to the dam about a week ago & ive still not heard nothing about it,I will be checking my bank account also as i can ill afford to loose it.

yeah so i called em back to hassle...they said that alot of people in the last few days have had their accounts skimmed, which makes me feel as though i will definitely get my money back...and they gave me their securities number so i can get feedback during the wait. So far i'm happy with my banks efforts.

oh yeah i got the name of the thieves wrong it's 'Dundas & Brock & Whitby'.
