yes to traveloguescisco wrote:How do you prefer travelogues?
my suggestion is to write it up in the way which is easiest for youcisco wrote:do you like to read one long story with/without photos ? or do you like to read seperate days ? im about to attempt to write my trip up ,and was jus wonderin peoples thoughts on the matter ? thanks for your opinions !
i have tried to write up my trips in the past and i found it took me ages and what seemed a breeze when describing the first few joints became a real chore after a bit and the reports never got finished
if i have any say in what i wish you would provide, my only answer would be as much as you can give us - photos, short reports, long reports, summary of purchases, absolutely everything ...
when i see your report, i want to think that i should make another pot of coffee, smoke a joint and settle down for a real nice read with lots of information and observations and whatever you want to write about ...
ps when you include a photo in your report, could you do as HasjDreamer does and only provide a link to the actual photo or maybe even provide a thumbnail link to the actual photo, i find that large photos bigger than the width of my screen get in the way of the read, thanks

pps in thinking further about pics in travelogues i would like to suggest that twichaldinho does nice reports with pics, for example Twichaldinho's June Smoke Report. ( Pics a plenty! )
the pics here are not too big and don't interrupt the flow of the read, they are very much part of the flow
and the secret is that the pics are only 640x480 pixels in size
the pics are large enough to see, but not so large that they get in the way of text

Although, I do have to say that I appreciate when people use paragraphs and linebreaks. Having everything all squished together becomes hard to read under certain conditions
Like Toker said, though...as far as reporting all at once, or one day at a time, it's whatever works best for you. We just appreciate the insight and the time you put in. I don't mind sitting there waiting for the next installment. A little anxious anticipation is good on occasion
