Post by positive vibes »

I WILL BE VISITING THE DAM FOR THE FIRST TIME NEXT WEEK , JULY 9-18. LEAVIN THE WIFE AT HOME AND FLYIN SOLO. WOULD BE NICE TO HOOK UP WITH A RESIDENT OR OTHER DAM EXPERT SO I CAN GET THE FULL EXPERIENCE. I PLAN ON SPENDING AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE SMOKING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE-TIL I SMOKE MYSELF TO SLEEP EVERY NITE. IF ANYONE HAS SOME FREE TIME AND WANTS TO HANG OUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW. :D

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the July Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
There are Meets and Greets on the 16th, 17th, and 18th.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=35502

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation.

I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

Enjoy

THANKS FLYBYNITE. THAT SITE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE. I WAS PLANNING ON MAINLY WALKING AROUND THE CITY AND IT WAS A LITTLE SCARY TO READ HOW MANY BIKES AND BIKE ACCIDENTS THERE ARE IN THE CITY. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND RENTING A BIKE OR DO YOU THINK IT WILL END UP GETTING STOLEN?

I would highly recomend a bike. I did not try it till my 6th trip and now wish I would have done it starting on my first one. Use both locks and forget the map they take all the fun out of getting lost. If I find myself too lost I just stop at a bus or tram stop and look at the map on the wall, then within 2 min. I'm usually lost again. Have fun!

I'll be in Dam towards the end of your trip and have a couple of meets at the 420 (16/17th July) - see my earlier thread. Be glad to show you around if I am not too stoned :D :D

Yes a bike is a good idea Milehigh introduced me to this place which is very reasonable for traditional 'Dutch' bikes http://www.frederic.nl/

I SHOULD BE IN TOWN AROUND 6PM ON THE 9TH. THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE REPLIED. TRUST ME, I FEEL THE THE LOVE. I WILL ATTEND THE MEET AND GREETS, IF I CAN SEE STRAIGHT. I AM SO EXCITED, ESPECIALLY DUE TO THE FACT THE WIFE HAS "INFLUENCED" ME TO STOP MY REGULAR USE YET ENCOURAGED ME TO GO TO THE DAM TO PARTAKE IN THE PLEASURE OF SPENDING A VACATION RED-EYED AND THOROUGHLY OBLITERATED. I MIGHT TRY TO GET OVER TO PARIS, SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST EUROPEAN TRIP, BUT HELL I MIGHT JUST STAY IN THE DAM AND TRY AS MUCH OF THE STRAINS AS POSSIBLE.
