Trip number 15 (July 13-July 24)

Post by Fairy »

Hey guys :)
I'm here in A'dam enjoying my trip number 15! I wanted to post some pictures but unfortunately i forgot my memory card adapter, so i will be able to upload pics only when i get back home. Sorry :)

Day 1 (July 13): we arrive in Amsterdam at 19:00 after an 11 hour trip by car and stop by central coffeeshop before going to the apartment we rented. Got 2,4 grams of the Peace maker and 2,6 grams of Cheese. Both smelled and looked really nice, but not strong as we expected.
After unpacking our things in the apartment we take the tram to Rookies coffeeshop and smoke one joint of each weed we got.

Day 2 (July 14): really tired from the trip of the day before, we wake up at 13:00, get ready, rent 2 bikes from OrangeBike and start our day. Since the weather is beautiful we ride a little around and then find ourselves at the Niewmarkt, park our bikes and take 2 seats outside at the Hill Str. Blues at the market.
After a couple of joints we ride to Greenhouse namaste, buy 3 grams of Cheese and seat outside enjoying the warm afternoon. We liked the Cheese, strong and really nice smelling.
At that point we decide to go near the Vondelpark to a coffeeshop that not much people know but sells some really good weed at competitive prices. And i mean really competitive comparing to the weed you get in the city center. It's called 'Twintje.
We get 4 grams of the Power Plant, 4 grams of the White Widow and 4 grams of the Ak 47 at almost half the price we would pay in the center. Tried all of them while surfing the internet in this small but nice coffeeshop and were very pleased.
While getting back to the apartment we make one last stop to Amnesia, too bad it's already 00:30 and they are closing in 30 minutes.

Day 3 (July 15):
Curious to see the new style of the Abraxas Too coffeeshop (which was once called Chocolata if i don't get wrong) we make there our first stop of the day. All the outside seats are full so we end up taking a seat upstairs, smoke a joint of who-knows-which-weed while looking down at the sunny street and then off to the Rokerij iv. The sun is shining and we really enjoy riding by bike. When we get there we find out it's currently closed for renovations so we stop at the coffeeshop La Tertulia which is really close to the Rokerij.
After about an hour we take a little walk in the city center to go some shopping and find ourselves right in front of the Dampkring, so we stop there for some time. This coffeeshop is usually really crowded but is pretty empty today so we get to seat down and relax for some time.
Getting back to the apartment we stop by Amnesia again, i really like how they restyled the shop, it has a great atmosphere.
Back to the apartment for dinner and out again to the Abraxas coffeeshop. Spent 1 hour or 2 there and then back home. Night time now, will post more in the next days.

Let me know if you have some suggestions on how to write my report. :)
Doei!!

thanks for the report, enjoying the read ...

regarding suggestions for the writing, i think what you have written is fine

this same question was asked by cisco in How do you prefer travelogues, you may get some ideas from that

in general readers are interested in information about the strain, the coffeeshop and the price

the general drift about the writing was that "writing reports is time-consuming, so do whatever is easiest for you."

we love travelogues, and read everything anybody writes, so we appreciate anybody devoting some time keeping track of things at the time in the coffeeshops and then sitting down and typing it in

that's fine, we can wait

Hey all!! Finally another part of my report :)

Day 4 (July 16):
The weather is beautiful, it's a warm and sunny day, so we take our bikes and make our first stop at the Bluebird coffeeshop, we were lucky enough to find some seats outside. The plants on the tables look like they're marijuana plants, but i really think they're just something similar. Too bad i can't post the pic :(
It's the perfect day for a pic-nic so we ride down to the Vondelpark, enjoy some joints, eat some fruit and watch the beautiful tropical parrots flying around. Yeah, that sounds weird, tropical parrots in Amsterdam, but that's totally true, got some pics of them :)
We're out of weed so we ride to Overtoom street at the 'Twintje coffeeshop. Bought 8 grams of white widow and 4 grams of the AK47.
4 grams of White widow: 26 euros
4grams of AK47: 27 euros
And the quality is excellent!
Coming back to the city center we make a quick stop at the Blue lagoon coffeeshop (on the same street), bought 1gram of Cocolop and 2 grams of White widow. Didn't like the coffeeshop interior as much and the weed was good but nothing special.
After eating some stroopwafels we ride to the Dampkring coffeeshop, had to wait for a free table but we loved it there so it was worth it. The black and white lazy cat says hello :)
We are seeing our friends that live here in Amsterdam for a couple of joints and a chat tonight, we haven't seen them since our last trip in January. So we meet up at the Rokerij coffeeshop near Leidseplein and leave at 1 am when the place is closing. Time flies when you're having fun!

Day 5 (July 17):
After a nice ride with our bikes around the canals, we make a stop at the Greenhouse Lounge, i really like this shop, it's big and nice with a huge menu of food and drinks.
When we get inside i notice a guy with a big camera filming around the shop and interviewing the bartender and the dealer. I don't pay much attention to him, take a look at the weed menu and decide for 1 gram of the Super Lemon Haze.
We're enjoying our smoke while the camera guy comes right near us and ask me if he can film me while i smoke! I asked him what country is the video going to be on television and he said Spain. I'm not from Spain so of course, stoned as hell i told him yeah, sure!
Well i hope my university teachers are not going to Spain on vacation!!!
After this television experience (LOL) we ride to the Dampkring and stop there for a while, the cat is sitting right next to me the whole time on the seats near the window :)
Ok so we're out of weed again, so we ride again (!) to the 'Twintje coffeeshop, i really recommend this shop, the guys that work there are really nice, they gave me a whole pack of my fav papers with filters and let us buy more than 5 grams per person. This is where our friends buy their weed, and they're locals.
We ride back to Dam square, park our bikes and make a stop at the Abraxas coffeeshop, my all time favorite. Got 1 gram of Abraxas delight, very nice bud with great smell.
Time to meet up with our friends, they invited us to their apartment in Niew Sloten to a sushi dinner. The sushi here is really delicious.
It's late when we leave, we get to take the last tram to our apartment and smoke some joints before going to bed.

Going out now, but will write the next part of my report soon!
Doei from the Gezellig Amsterdam!!!!!!

Awesome!

Good job with the TV crew, as well. If they had asked me I would have been like, "Hell yes! Fire that camera up...and YOU'RE joining me!" :D

Sounds like you're having a lot of fun. Keep it up and be safe!

I found the 'Twintje on the coffeeshop directory but it's spelled wrong: https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/Tuintje.html

I'll post a pic of the outside so you'll see it :)
