The train into Dam is really fun, the train out of the Dam... not so much.

Thanks for sharing. Too bad I didn't read it until I got back, but it's all ok I guess it's just some new places to check out for next trip.

Thank you Dr Greenshed. Excellent read, nice trip report.

Thanks for the recommended travel website www.easytobook.com
I too have paid a lot in the Dam with very little in return.

"... a classic Dutch style bike at 10.00 Euros for 24 hours,..."
DUR - Excellent choice of transportation in The Dam. Offers the most flexibility while saving money, the environment, and improving ones health. This is in comparison to the tram or a motorized vehicle. As for riding a bicycle while high, I would suggest to anyone reading this to first try it at home, then around a major population center near where you live. Trying this for the first time or lacking experience while attempting this in The Dam may not be as romantic as it sounds.

"... My only negative thought was about the price here but I knew that before I left so should not moan really...."
DUR - Unfortunately, prices are going to continue to increase at an alarming rate, bummer. Example: Less than two years ago, I was able to get Santa Maria @6E per gram, however, nowadays the same shop charges 9E. When top shelf gear has an asking price of +15E, average gear will go for 10E. I predict that the first gram of weed to sell @20E will happen within the next three years. Time to legalize and plant the seed! Fuck it, plant the seed anyway!!
Note: My sincerest apologies if I offend anyone with my use of language that may be deemed by some as vulgar and offensive. It is not my intent to offend. Peace

... I imagine the boss not to handle the buds so much when she serving up...
DUR - Instead of the THC getting into your system, it will be getting into hers when she smokes the resin she has rolled off of her fingers. Dutch Balls anyone javascript:emoticon(':D')
I am not concerned, wouldn't notice the difference anywho.

"... the cheese looked and smelt great but lacked in taste and punch, UK cheese is my favourite weed and this would never match up to what I grow and seen friends grow, if that won the cup mine would smash it and I hate to sound like a big head...."
DUR - I have read comments from breeders that have stated that the Dutch version of UK Cheese has been crossed for bigger yields, unfortunately sacrificing some taste and potency. Happens when weed is commercialized, crossed to increase production which = MONEY. Shame, I would really like to try some "real" UK Cheese.

"We were so stoned that the stairs had us giggling all the way down them like two naughty school kids."
DUR - One of the many wonderful side effects. What makes it even more enjoyable is having shared the moment.

"... went for some Amnesia Haze 9.00 Euro for 1.0g, a very strong citrus type smell was coming from these buds, tight nuggets looked promising, it was lovely smoked every bit the way it should."
DUR - Nice price for what sounds like excellent gear. I have sampled this gear with prices ranging from 7.50E to 13.50E, with little difference in quality.

"It seemed to me that a quite a lot of locals call in here and pop off elsewhere to smoke but seeing locals always encourages me, it was the cleanest coffee shop I have ever been in even the toilets were immaculate."
DUR - I prefer to frequent shops frequented by locals because, in my experience, there is less chance of getting ripped off, the vibe is more chill, and those who use the toilets tend to be more civilized.

"Went for Super Silver Haze 12.00 Euro for 1.0g..."
DUR - SSH seems to be the flavor of the moment in other parts of The Netherlands, which makes me happy. In addition, the price has remained somewhat steady since last year at 11E in Eindhoven. Love SSH.

"... I sprinkled some of the spinach on and that sorted it in fact it felt like every problem I have had been sorted."
DUR - The only way I enjoy hash (mixed with weed); things do tend to sort themselves out after a couple of deep breaths, while taking a hit of course.

"Thanks for reading, happy smoking and lets be kind to one another."
DUR - Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us.
Peace
