Hotel CornerHouse

Post by HARRYO »

Hey Guys....

Has anyone stayed @ this hotel before..more importantly, visited recently?

I usually opt for Nova Hotel being a top quality hotel but its a bit pricey!

Hotel corner house is like 40euro a night so a big difference!

Wanted to know how the hotel was...

1. rooms clean?

2. Smoker friendly???

3. Nice staff?

4. Safe environment?

Its right near HGF so thats a great start!

1. rooms clean? - not spotlessly clean but nor a rat infested dump either.

2. Smoker friendly? - not really but that didn't stop me, the rooms are tobacco friendly though.

3. Nice staff? - Yeah but they're a bit dim, they fucked my reservation up so the wife and I had to share a single room for our first night (they put an extra bed in the room which answers your Q about the size which wasn't bad)

4. Safe environment? - yeah no problems at all, I'd quite happily stop there again.

Like I said I'd stop there again but only for a short trip, I dont think I could handle a week but thats because I dont really like stopping in hotels anymore but for 2/3 nights its all good.

Lots of info via the 'search' button: https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/searc ... de=results ;)

and before anyone says I didn't finish my trip report - I know.

Cheers Boner!

Tobacco friendly is good enough for me!

I think i will be making a reservation. The price is just to tempting!

Once more question...do all the windows face the main street or are they at the back of the building?

We faced the side, can't say if any face the back sorry.

If you do book it make sure you get email confirmation and take that info with you, just in case.

I have stayed here before the room was clean, I was discreet about smoking and had no problems and I know friends who've gone and been fairly blatent about it and they never had any problems. I have booked to stay again 6th - 11th August at a bargain price of €30 pn with shared shower. (It is €40 pn for ensuite. Personally I'd rather save €50 overall and have to nip across the hall)

only use that place since being told by neldo....no probs,no near vertical stairs, smoked in my room, complimentary beer on check in,great location and not forgetting the legendary mikey the cat....already booked in for sept 1st.....very handy being between soft temple and HGF for me and don't forget the tram stops just across the road.....not a 5 star but a decent place to get yer head down and fairly CHEAP
