This year we really were not planning to go back, we have many friends we have been planning to visit. Friends in New York, Seattle, Illinois...and Germany. As it turned out I found some airline tickets to Frankfurt that were not much more than it would cost to fly to New York or Seattle (from Miami). The total coming to just $1,147.00 for 2 r/t (including tax and ins)....IN SEPTEMBER. We have always wanted to go to Amsterdam when it was not freezing and raining the whole time, but that's when you get the best prices.
So for this trip we are going first to see our friends in Dresden (Germany) for 4 days, then taking the train to Amsterdam (for 7 days). On this trip we will be staying with a friend who lives there that we met on our first trip (very excited about that). Also, we will be there during my birthday
We are planning to get a Germany-Benelux rail pass, any advice on riding the train would be greatly appreciated.
