Very fine, hippie-style shop with a Verdamper used by the local daily hangarounders. Anarchist chess played. Music was Miles Davis. Large variety of strains, in- and outdoor, Dutch and tropical. Hasj goes from very fine Libanon (6€!) via excellent Rif traditionals to the Himalayan goodies like Kashmir, Temple Ball or Afghan to name a few. Comes packed in 5€ or 10€ bags. Super nice service and crowd.

A little bit further out than most the other shops I visited, but worth the walk. Very small seating area, but if there is a seat you can stay in and smoke, and they even have a cool glass vaporizer that you can use. Counter is in the back of the shop, not sure if you have to buy to smoke or not but given the small size I wouldn't go hang out unless you planned on picking something up. They have both indoor and outdoor strains, with the outdoor strains being very reasonably priced at €5-6/gram and the indoor being just a little bit more expensive, but still some of the best deals I found in Utrecht. Large selection of hash, too.

This shop was advised to me by another coffeshop owner as the place for space cakes in Utrecht. Turns out it is true. They sell chocolate and vanilla cakes for 4 euros a slice, which is fairly honest given the effect they have :) One whole cake costs 40 euros. There are days where cakes are sold out. Apart from cakes, they have a large range of weeds and hash, lots you won't find in any other shop in the area. Prices are fair. Staff is nice, patient and knowledgeable. Inhalators are available. One of the best shops I know in the Netherlands.

Almost non-stop full, pure joint, nice choice too. Probably the best in Utrecht and one of the better overall in the Netherlands.

This is a tiny real locals place quite a distance from the centre. The menu is really large and fairly priced, they had some strains I've not seen in any other coffeeshop. The man behind the counter was friendly and patient. This place is very chilled out. Another one of the better shops in Utrecht.

Difficult to find, but well worth the effort. A small, local hangout. Better quality smoke than more touristy places in Utrecht. Highly recommended, and go with "Bio Witte" you'll be in herbal paradise! Directions: walk east on Lange Viestraat towards Oudegracht (old canal); after Oudegracht bear left (not hard left) continue as street becomes Poterstraat -left at Postkantoor (see post office by looking hard right) -now on Voorstraat, cross over Nieuwegracht (new canal) to Wittevrouwenstraat -now becomes Biltstraat, make left on Obrechtstraat & see t'Grasje on right side of street
-if you pass supermarket on Biltstraat, you've gone too far.
