The first time I went to Amsterdam, this was the best coffeeshop we went to. The locals went there and we only found it due to some hard questioning of some educated Amsterdammers. This place was out of the way, small and quiet. It made for one of the best afternoons we ever forgot. That was in 1998. We went there for a couple of years. My last trip in 2005 found me scratching my head. I couldn't find any of the Real Thing shops. Maybe they closed up. They were run by a Canadian and he brought in Dr. Pepper on his own to enjoy. He wasn't into the hype like most of the other big name shops. Maybe that's why he isn't around anymore. But they sure had some of the best stuff my friends and I ever had.
