Smoked the Jack Hearer from here 3/5. Nice but not as good as I remembered from few years ago. Didn't taste of much and didn't get me that high. Nice place though with very comfy cushiony seating, even a long bed like seat. Nice! Music was uncomfortably loud though otherwise I'd've stayed here a lot longer.

Our second try just to buy a good weed, seats much more comfortable, and music was OK, we made there a nice buy: 1g White Widow for 12 Euros, which was a nice taste and good to relax and have a nice fly.

My Friend and I spent an excellent couple of hours in this place, a real bonus its not one of the usual we would head for. On entering and heading to the bar a Scandinavian girl who I believe to be called Dorra (hi, sorry for spelling) greeted us. This girl was a machine, within 2 minutes she'd gone through the entire menu getting each bag out, opening, thrusting under our nose, reseal and back. Some people might take offence with the menu being thrust on you in such places, I know I do in places where their weed's not worth buying and ur not made to feel comfortable. That's why this place is different, best service by a bud tender ever. We were tempted by one of the top end grasses, forget which, prob haze or berry fine weed. On talking to our hostess and asking what she smoked, which is usually a good indicator, we were directed to the Super Polm. We bought a gram to try, beautiful smooth smoke, bought another, smoked it and another on leaving. Amid this we were treated like kings by this goddess of a bud tender. Support these smaller shops and try their products, tip the staff too, they work their asses off to make it happen. Embraces all that is amazing about coffeeshops, I shall return.

Had a couple of great sessions here on last trip (Sept 1st - 5th). Some good weed on offer, great pool table, tasty barmaid, now officially our favourite den in the shiddy. Reasonable prices, semi-comfy seating, can’t really fault this coffeeshop. Ream. 10/10

We all had many great times here, friendly staff, good weed and good, cheap coffee! Ginger nearly died too.

This coffeeshop will always have a place in my heart as it is the first coffeeshop we visit on every trip. First trip saw us leathered after a quality Bubblegum slapped us about a bit (understatement) and now it's traditionally the first stop time after time.

My fave smoke is Bubblegum so I bought some, 2.3 grams for 12 euro. I'd say it was some of the best Bubblegum I tried. My mate got a pre-rolled joint of White Widow. I've never been a fan of buying pre-rolleds but after smoking it for a bit I changed my tunes, it was really, really strong. Visited Route 66 frequently during my stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for good, strong hash and a range of good weeds. Pool table was good aswell. The bottles of strawberry juice rock.

This place was also quite nice but upon entering all eyes were on us this might be more of a Dutch shop and the vibe in shops around the Redlight is less than kosher. Still a must stop if in the area and the menu mirrors that of Route 99. 7/10

We stopped in here to grab a carry out after meeting the last addition to our group from Centraal station and carrying his case to our apartment on Oudezijds Voorburgwal. I grabbed a bag of Cystal which was covered in crystals and smelt gorgeous, the smoke had quite a kick to it and after half a fat spliff I didn't want to move! My friend picked up some Red Bud which neither of us had tried before and were pleasantly surprised with a nice tasty smoke. The coffeeshop appeared very clean and had loads of computers linked up to the net. The Harley Davidson kinda got in the way a little though (sorry, I'm not a fan!), I nearly tripped over it when I turned round to walk away from the dealer's counter!

Route 66 had some decent pre-rolled. Your choice too, I think, of with tobacco or without. After awhile it's hard to remember who had what! Always liked their shirts. Had to replace the one I got in '01 (gave it to a friend) but the newer ones are still pretty cool also. I'd go back. Plus it's right in the RLD where all of the action goes down!

I shouldn't even bother mentioning this place. We arrive at 10 past 12 and the girl behind the bar who looked very pissed off to be there told us that she couldn't serve hot drinks after 12 so I asked for a couple of cokes but she never told us that she wouldn't be able to pour these into a glass after midnight. She slammed the tins on the counter and shoved a couple of straws in them in a blatant strop. Its not like we were the only people in there. No cheers for Route 66.

Looked ok from outside, we have often walked past and never went in, this time we decided to go in have a smoke and a drink. Bar maid was wasted and slow, either that or she was lacking in energy, took ages to get served and longer to get my smokes sorted out. Although saying that it was decent stuff and a comfortable place to sit, grab the seats by the window and watch life go by on this busy street.

This is an alcohol free coffee shop with internet access playing music ranging from hip-hop to chilled trance for a relaxed atmosphere (pretty much like the rest of Holland.) With a large selection on the menu, including my favourite hash - super smile, there's plenty of choice for even the most avid of smokers. Also serving mushroom tea, skunk hot chocolate and hash muffins Route 66 caters for a large quantity of your Amsterdam needs. Highly recommended. 7/10
