Ha yeah that would probably be my preferred option was a bit gutted when my sent me a txt telling me thats the first port of call for his group (i arrive the day before and staying in Haarlem) probably due to its proximity to central station. Might meet them somewhere else if thats the case.

Is this place just a smokers bar now? Never been in before but some mates want to meet up in there and I wouldn't fancy picking a weed up from there going off everything I've heard about their merch so if it IS just a smokers bar it would suit me very much 
this was the first ever coffeeshop i went in to its a shame because its a nice looking place but staff are rude and want u to buy weed as soon as u get through the door weed very expensive left as quick as possible never to go back again avoid avoid avoid.............................................................................................................................. 
They should have been stopped from selling weed a long time ago, with their ripping off of tourists, selling the worst weed in amsterdam at inflated prices.

Its crazy that they let a drug pusher in the shop. With them demanding every customer buy drinks it seems they would have to know he wasn't a legit person.
Even tho I read bad reviews about this place I still went here. And this was my first coffeeshop visit ever! I wanted a "not so strong" sativa to brighten up the day so the budtender suggested the jack herer. I was not happy because they had a minimum buy amout at 25 euros(I think was 25) and I only got just under 2 grams. Sounds like a ripoff to me, Jack Herer is not that expensive. They had a big seating area, I sat at one of the benches at the top, and it was not comfortable to sit there on the wood. I ended up talking to a algerian man, who wanted to sell me coke and he ended up stealing my phone. The jack was good tho. And the music was great! I give it a 2.5/5!

went to this place summer 2010 an it was not worth it only had 4types of weed we got sum bubble gum which wernt that great an u had to buy a drink so got a cup tea an all they did was put boilin water in a plastic cup an said the stuffs over there help urself an that will be 7 euros lol, budtender wernt helpful just looked at us like filth, tourist trap

This is a typical scene on most any given day on Oudebrugsteeg in the shadow of the very tourist-oriented coffeeshop Grasshopper 2, bar and restaurant.
Grasshopper 2 is located at Oudebrugsteeg 16 easily visible and recognizable from Centraal Station, it is a landmark meeting point for many new arrivals. Standing just outside the building provides a breathtaking panorama of daily activity as the tourists come and go, filtering into and out of the Red Light District.
You can get a sense of the vibe and the energy of Amsterdam from this brief view of the hustle and bustle of the pedestrian traffic documented in this video.
