Re: Zeeburg camping
Wow, has it really been 11 months since my trip?!. Anyways I stayed here August and thought to add a mini review on the place based on my limited notes, photos and memories, for which the photos certainly help with the memory lol. Well, fucking loved the place, everything I expected and more on top....

Re: How long until...
Just about to leave for the airport, didn't finish work till half one this morning, this could get messy!! Lol, at least you you won't have an unsettled sleepless night the night before going then. Just like being a kid again on xmas eve the night before a Dam trip with the excitement and expectati...

Re: Hidden Gems
I'm still in 2 minds weather to do a Haarlem trip or spend a day visiting some very outer Amsterdam coffeeshops either rarely or never mentioned or reviewed. I know about the 3 near the Zeeburg camp (where I'm staying later this week) so will try them. But there are also several far to the west I h...

Re: How long until...
2 days to go :) . Well I actually leave tomorow afternoon and get in fo Dam thursday morning as going by coach this time due to the very short notice. Would have cost near £100 more to go by plane but decided I'd sooner put up with a 18 odd hour coach trip each way to save that £100 odd for more of ...

Re: Betty Boop Too
The shop is called Betty two, not Betty Boop two. There has never been a Boop associated with this shop. Er no, the latest menu pic (a link about a dozon posts up) clearly shows the shop is called "Betty Boop Too". So the "Boop" name is associated with the place even if only mor...

Re: Bringing beers and food items back to the UK on megabus?
Just to fill the excess suitcase space, so as above certainly no mega haul of anything. More a nice selection of sweets and snacks for back home for family and probably at best 20-25 bottles\cans of beer. Done the customs at Calais in he past many years ago. 1 poor lad back then got stripped searche...

Re: How long until...
But yeah about some of the outer coffeeshops, there seems to be 3 close to the Zeeburg camp to the East and several far out to the west that seems to be on a tram route. So might spend a day doing some of those if Haarlem dont come off.

Re: How long until...
10 days and counting, hoping for some decent weather to get more out and about and a trip to the de pipj coffeeshops :) Thoroughly recommend a bike there Dave. Hoping for sunny weather too for biking round the remote but great shops. Doubt I'm brave enough for a bike, may well stick to the trams as...

Re: Where to stay?
I never knew about the tram from the square, I always took the 26 outside CS and that was 4 stops.. If I fancied a walk over the bridge at zeeburg I'd them take the 7 to leidsplein but that was a long journey. Your actually right, I assumed you might have wrongly been referring to a daytime bus ser...

Re: Prix d'Ami
It's funny, been here twice, knew in advance it has an upstairs yet never noticed the upstairs whilst in there smoking either time!. Must be 1 of those things about Dam that catches you out each time for no obvious reason!.
