Re: Freewheelen fietstocht
Hi Freewheeling Is it a touring frame or a gravel bike frame you have. In my hey day I used to fly with my bike from the UK. You were only required to remove the pedals. Unfortunately the bike was rarely unscathed, sometimes minor with displaced mudguards or major if a wheel was damaged. No box was ...

Re: Rotterdam
I cycled in the area several years ago. Coming from Hook of Holland, I remember a disused train line path and another time coming from the North managing to connect with the Maas tunnel. Now there is a more recently opened bridge. On the whole Rotterdam, because of the destruction in World War Two a...
Re: FlyByNite
Sad news indeed. For a while I was never quite sure of his location. I sensed a connection to Haarlem, I thought maybe he was an American living there. Another unsung hero.

Re: Germany is gonna legalize - effect on coffeeshops?
Firstly I`d advise against presumption. If and when legalisation happens in Germany then the effect on Dutch coffeeshops will be immense maybe see a movement of people in the other direction. Netherlands mostly borders Belgium and Germany and it is easy to fall into the Westside Anglo/American persp...

Re: The Plug (formerly Utopia)
Rusland changed owners a few years ago. It went from being an inclusive shop where even retired citizens would stop for coffee refreshment at an outside table to a grasping establishment where total rules of consumption applied. It also shrank physically. Originally there was a raised ground floor w...

Re: Hotel Voyagers
Shout out for Quentin England Hotel from where you can almost touch the Vondel Park and not far from Leidseplein. You can catch the bus from the airport to the Leidseplein stop. Hereabouts people seem obsessed with the train from the airport but the bus is more convenient. The hotel is on Roemer Vis...

COFFEESHOPS FOR GERMANY ???
The new German coalition government proposes to legalise cannabis sales and consumption. Hopefully the start of the dominoes effect in Europe with thanks to the proportional representation system of government.

Recommend Stayokay Vondelpark as a possible standby for that rogue night. It has an ideal location almost IN the park.

MARIJUANA ANONYMOUS
Came across this web page and find the subject puzzling. It seems there is online access to meetings as well as physical meeting points in certain areas of the U.K. It appears to be modelled on A.A. and originates from the U S. Even with alcohol there has always been controversy with regard to addic...

Re: online purchase
Thought I may as well reply to my original post. Check out a site called high and polite. It has a list of scam sites and Trust Pilot have a great list of site reviews. Two authentic sites are honourably mentioned on High and Polite.
That`s all !!!

Re: Chilled Atmosphere & Outdoor Area
My recommendation to you is Yoyo. The grass is cheap and you can buy as little as 5 euros worth. You can`t smoke outside because of the playground but the smoking area is bright with two large windows to the south and west and Sarphati Park and Oosterpark are each close bye. Smoke there all the time...

The Mayor`s background is Labour Party and Green Party but in democracy she has to facilitate political discussion. She does say a ban is unlikely so as they say in Scots, dinae fash yersel unnecessarily. The present economic climate suggests that such a change causing unemployment in the Coffeeshop...

Re: Current rules travelling to ‘Dam!?!
Compulsory quarantining on return to UK so unessential travel is not advised by the UK govt. This affects insurance etc. I visited 3rd. to 7th. Aug .I decided to act quickly as Dutch quarantine restrictions were lifted rather than wait around as you normally do thinking that things would improve. DO...

OUTDOOR WEED RECOMMENDATIONS
Visiting Amsterdam 3rd to the 7th August. Due to low tolerance levels it`s best that I stick to outdoor strains to begin with. Familiar with those available at Yoyo. Can anyone recommend strains from Paradox and Siberie and it`s asscociated shops ?
