Re: Hotel Voyagers

Such a shame. It was a great little place back in the day - from my favourite basement room, to the twins upstairs... Last few times, I used the Best Western and had a 20min tram ride getting there and back. (Plus the rooms are bigger, they had a safe and a fridge... and LIFTS!!) Oh well. RIP Voyage...

Re: Hotel Voyagers

Any update on renovations? Loooking to take a good of guys for their first time and the rooms can’t be booked yet. Hopefully open next month for October bookings as I need to confirm somewhere to stay ! Depending on how many of you are going and what level of comfort etc you're wanting, there's usu...

Re: Tourist ban (again)

I have been told that this won't effect other cities, which are a cheap and quick train ride away. Indeed! When I remember (!), a trip to Haarlem is usually a great change of scenery - plus the weed can be better quality and a bit cheaper too if memory serves... A lot less hectic than Amsterdam and...

Re: Suggestions for SILENT Volcano bags?

Sweet! Better deal than the previous one.. €12.90 inc postage... I suspected that there would be somewhere in Europe had em... Thanks again Bifton! Gonna drop them an email tomorrow to double check the stock.. my French is a little rusty these days, but "Produit en réapprovisionnement" or ...

Re: Suggestions for SILENT Volcano bags?

Well... looks like the "Vapebags" aren't readily available to purchase in the UK... a few places advertise them in the States, but they either don't ship to the UK or the shipping is over twice the cost of the bags! Looked on Amazon and Ebay and they only have the Storz & Bickel bags a...

Re: Suggestions for SILENT Volcano bags?

They don't look too bad - soft material for quieter performance... it's just a shame that the shipping is another $26 on top of the $10 price!

But if I can find somewhere on this side of the pond who does that brand, it could be a winner!

Thanks for the reply Bifton... I know what to look for now...

Suggestions for SILENT Volcano bags?

Hey there folks - just a quick one... As I'm sure any of you who've used the Volcano will know, the balloon bags that come with the unit aren't the quietest in use, and although I've got better results with rolls of oven bags before now, I can't seem to find any really quiet ones these days? A few y...

Re: Spam and the notsofasteddie threads

If the content or the posts are problematic, Lemming, delete them. It wouldn't be the first time that there have been gaps appearing in threads - whether it be the OP removing their own posts for whatever reason, or Admin "taking care of business"... The last thing anyone here would want i...

Re: Hotel Voyagers

No worries! The tram system is quite simple, if you already have a tram pass, when you board the tram you "check in" by holding the pass up to the sensors either side of the doors and it will beep to let you know it's worked. On leaving the tram, you simply "check out" by doing t...

Re: Hotel Voyagers

To be fair, I used to think anything past Amnesia was "too far out"!!! But that was before I discovered the wonders of the tram system! I wouldn't trust myself on a bicycle in Amsterdam... I've seen how mental they can be, plus I wouldn't be in a fit state to ride after a good day on the h...

Re: Hotel Voyagers

Fair enough, dubsy! I was exactly the same.. I liked being close to the Station, RLD, all my favourite haunts in town etc... plus knowing I didn't have far to go at the end of the night... I must be just getting old(er)! I used to get straight off the train and head straight for a coffeeshop, but no...

Re: Hotel Voyagers

The only thing that kept me coming back here was the service from the top people running the shop downstairs! Now they've gone, this place has lost its charm completely... It's a great location, sure... but over the last few years I've found cheaper accommodation a little further out of town, with m...

Re: I miss Amsterdam so much! Wish covid would fcuk off already

I hear ya! It's been just over a year since my last trip over and I can't believe how much has changed, from reading the forums.. The "new" 420 changing hands... I used to love sitting in the window there, watching the world go by, looking at the canals etc... Voyagers going to the dogs......
