Coffeeshops in Barcelona?

My friend is going to be in Barcelona next month and is wondering if there are any coffeeshops or has bars there. I've heard that pot smoking is very tolerated there, so I assume picking up some smoke won't be a problem, but he wants to know if there are any actual establishments that sell pot and h...

Jam Band music in coffeshops?

Are there any coffeeshops or other places in the Dam that play "Jam Band" (Grateful Dead, Phish, etc.) music? I here mostly more house music or the like are played at coffeeshops, except for places like The Doors and Pink Floyd.

Once again thank you all for the great tips! I will definately try out the nightlife in the Spui area and I will stay away from Rembrandtplein and Leidesplein, thanks for the info. I just read somewhere that those were happening night spots, but I would definately rather hang with the locals rather ...

I'd suggest you get a 24 hour tram pass that way you'll have a bit more time to get between placesalso get a contingency (sp?) plan in case things aren't working out the way you'd planned, and finally please choose Floyd's over Barneys and go with either 7 Seconds (my favourite weed in the whole of...

Does anyone know if and where I can buy some white widow seeds in Amsterdam? A friend that lives in Czech wanted me to pick some up for him while I'm in The Dam.

Thanks to all the input from you guys I have altered my itenerary for my only full day and night in Amsterdam. As this will be my first morning in Amsterdam in 15 years I will undoubtedly rise early and head for either Barney's or Pink Floyd for breakfast and a joint, then head to the other one for ...

Oh, how could I forget. Right after Amsterdam me and my best friend (meeting me in Amsterdam) are heading to the Czech Republic to hook up with an old friend living in Ceske Budejovice (8 years). THEN me, my wife and kids, and my mom are heading to Venice and Slovenia. So adding a night to Amsterdam...

Thanks again you guys for the advice. This is my first trip to the Dam in 15 years, so it will be very interesting to see the differences. Back then grams everywhere in town were going for about 5 US dollars. The more I hear about Barney's and Pink Floyd the more I agree with doing the Floyd for bre...

Thanks for the tips Valo! I have noted your advice and have taken Dampkring off my coffeeshop list. I was debating whether or not to go there as I think Tweede Kamer will be easier to deal with (fewer crowds). I will also check out Pink Floyd after breakfast at Barney's. I have written in my notes t...

Will be in Amsterdam July 30th - Aug. 1st

I can't wait to ge there. This will be my first time since 1990!!!

I am interested to see how the coffeeshop scene has changed since I was last there 15 years ago.

Is anyone else going to be in the 'Dam over these days?

Any advice?
