The only time I ever won betting on something was when I put a tenner on Lordi to win the Eurovision Song Contest, was a nice little earner !

Hated landing there, used to joke that it took longer to taxi than it did for the flight !

Where I live it's okay until they suss that you're not Dutch (they seem to have some sort of telepathic ability to do this) and then they just start practicing their English on me :-) Am getting there slowly though, have had lessons, I could have cried after some of them, felt like a total failure, ...

I visit the Netherlands once every 2-3 weeks, Amsterdam, it depends really - was there about a week ago but that was just to meet the missus after work and didn't have a chance to do anything else..... ....and am not a big smoker as you may have noticed from the lack of trip reports, I came on here ...

Am never drinking large quantities of Belgian beer again after the weekend :) Forgot that although I love the taste, it's like rocket fuel, was at a relatives birthday party at the weekend with a free bar, managed to cane Kwak, Delirium Tremens etc, was totally legless, barely managed to walk home.....
