Thanks for the info. I don't think they're available on the dates I'll be there. I found my way into greenhouse effect, though! I have to do a bit of room swaping and have one day when I'm not covered. I think I'll check out a hostel on that day -maybe Amsterdam cribs as they have the best ratings. ...

They do get good reviews. Not expensive but not so cheap. 730 euros for 6 nights. Not much else available below that -only Manofa (which doesn't have great reviews) and Gelerji (which sounds like a rat trap) unless I want to be out of the center of things. There was a nice room at Old Nickle which s...

For the sake of accuracy, I feel we ought to be aware that although it has many cultural influences, Iraq is considered to be an arab country. The main language spoken is Arabic, the classic work of literature 1001 Nights traces its origin to Iraq. Some of the earliest civilizations of ancient times...

I'm an American who lives overseas. I believe the need to remove guns from American culture is obvious for all of the reasons those who agree with this position have already put forth. This is especially the case with handguns and automatic weapons. I find it hard to place agruments for protection f...

What you resist persists. What you look at disappears. Saying we're going to ignore another is meaningless when that is other is simply mirroring a part of us. We can ignore ourselves...up to a point. This is often called repression. The result is not pleasant. Imagine a blocked pipe that gradually ...

I gave a positive vote for de Kroon. I'm sure this is the place I just posted about that is open early. This is why I give them my thumbs up. When everyone else was closed, they were open. That's worth something in my book. 8) Overall, nothing special, however. Can have a nice vibe, but can also be ...

I want to contribute to the information pool, but, unfortunately, I didn'y realize there was a forum here until almost a year after my trip and can't remember names too well. :( Oh well, I want to mention this one place I encountered twice -once when I first arrived, and then again as I waited betwe...

I know this is late info, but it may help future hotel seekers. :) I stayed here last year in June. It was nice, clean, quiet. My room was small. I paid a lot for the place, so for the price, I was disappointed. I thought I would have gotten a bit more. I did have a room on the back side which gave ...

Hello DK: I appreciate your response and clarification of your perspective! I'm sure you are right that we share more in common than we disagree about. This is one of the challenges of web posts. :) I think I know what you mean when you speak of many people who talk about spirituality coming from a ...

Interesting thoughts DK: I agree that we do ourselves a disservice by being illogical or irrational in our reasoning. :) I also agree that many anti-marijuana arguments are not rational and that many members of society look for the "semi-crazed" unproductive hippie type as a good reason fo...

I've heard about this link between ganja and pyschiozophrenia before. Has anyone actually read any of the "400" studies mentioned? How was the research conductd and by whom and for what purpose? All important questions that deserve answering. 8) Has anyone ever considered a link between ma...
