Count me in for the boat trip. The Mrs. gave me a permission slip to abandon her and the mother in law for a few hours. I look forward to meeting some of the people who share the same passion for Amsterdam that I've had since my first visit.

Does anyone have any updates on the Zuiderkerk renovation? I recently saw a picture that had it covered in green scaffolding. I was also wondering about the tower being open for tours. I will be in town in April and the only information I can find says it should reopen in 2017.

I'll be in London in April and might be able to make it to Amsterdam for King's Day. I think it is on Wednesday 27 April 2016. Is it mostly celebrated on a weekend around that date, or will it be starting on the night before and going on Wednesday? I might be able to get to Amsterdam for about four ...
