the Dam Square webcam is live and running, was checking it out over the weekend. Clarity is good and it pans around almost 180 degrees in timed stages. Looked nice and sunny this morning at 9.35 am Amsterdam time

I don't have 'the' answer regarding the coffeeshop name but the location is a little higher up Nieuwendijk at what was number 185 / 187 opposite the junction with Sint Nicolaasstraat. Where the coffeeshop was has been redeveloped and is now the back of Primark, to the side of it is the covered ...

Helps me make a quick mental note of neighbourhood groupings when I go for a wander, I do tend to forget about some of the less reported venues.

Very enjoyable sessions on the Verdamper and Volcano plus tasty edibles from DC and a nice gathering of ACDers to boot.

later in the evenings sometimes I like to go here, just off Dam Square down t'Nes (past where Café t'Nes was) and turn left down the alley.
Opens 10pm to 3am Sun to Thursday and 10pm to 4am Friday and Saturday.
