Re: Plane tickets are too expensive!
The coach is actually my new favourite way to get there. It takes about 12 hours from London, but that trip is broken up into 4 smaller trips. It's about 3 hours down to dover, a 2 hour ferry crossing, 3 more hours to Brussels where there was an hour stop (Perfect opportunity to go for a beer), and...

Re: Plane tickets are too expensive!
Well I've only taken the coach twice, but your experience sounds pretty much the same as mine. Going out is a breeze, but coming back there is definitely going to be a bag x-ray search at Calais, and possibly again at Dover which takes about an hour for the whole coach. The first time I took the coa...

Re: How long until...
Hopefully not long. It's always about 3 months after my previous trip that my Amsterdam senses start tingling and I start looking at webcams, menus, travelogues etc.. Then I start looking at fares & hotels and next thing I know I'm at Centraal station! I was last there in April for Queensday, so...

Re: Plane tickets are too expensive!
Earlier this year in January I took the Megabus from London. It cost me £11 return, and I also stayed in a nice 3* hotel for 4 nights which cost me £53 total! Also, a few years ago I got a ryanair flight to Eindhoven for £5! In the off-peak months it can be amazingly cheap, but I agree right now it ...

A few weed reports 30/10 - 01/11 2012
I have been on a break from smoking weed since May earlier this year so my tolerance should have been reset theoretically but I was actually surprised that I can still smoke pretty much as I could before. I was also quite disappointed with the weed quality in the Dam this time. First off, 420 cafe -...

Is it possible to visit a growroom in Amsterdam?
I know cannabis college has a grow room downstairs, I've been before but there was only 1 big plant and it was behind glass. Does the dampkring growshop have any plants on display at the moment? I want to see some properly grown plants up close as a learning experience. I have been trying to grow so...

Is it worth booking a trip for Queensday
I'm thinking of booking a 2 night trip sometime soon as flights and hotels seem to be quite cheap at the moment. Should I go for Queensday as a solo traveler? Are the coffeeshops open as usual and can you still get a seat? What about smoking on the streets, is that acceptable during queensday? Anyon...

Re: Whats your preffered music genre to blaze to?
It might just be me but sometimes when I'm high I get really euphoric moments from songs I'd never listen to normally, like old cheesy pop songs or something! I hear songs in a different way when I'm high, its like I hear each individual instrument/layer of sound individually yet simultaneously as w...

Re: Top 5 Friendly-Smoker Bars in Amsterdam
I think the best smoker friendly bar is 'smokey' in Rembrandt square. It is massive inside, good loud music, pool tables, plenty of seats and last time I was there they even had pre-bagged weed for sale. Smokey's and Smokey's Coffeeshop are two separate places located near each other. And I don't k...

Re: Best weed under €10
To tell the truth most of the white widow, edelweiss, orange bud etc is close to the same potency as the top menu choices they have just been out longer. I agree. I had some 8 euro WW a few weeks back which was just as good if not better than 13 euro bags of Kandy Kush and Amnesia Haze. The main re...

In the RLD, 'excaliber' is a good place if you like heavy metal/rock music, Pool tables and smok...

Re: Strains that exist in Amsterdam only
Its difficult to say because most strains I've seen in Dam are available from seed, unless they are a cross, which seem to come and go all the time. Most coffeeshops have strains that are always on the menu, often classics like white widow, ak47, jack herer etc... and will in a way be unique to Dam ...

Re: Posting weed to UK from 'Dam
Just received 15.6g of hash in the post (to London UK) in one package! :D I disguised it in a bag of toffees. I unwrapped some, melted the toffee and molded it back with the hash inside. Sent at the TNT counter on Singel, behind Dam Square, cost about 4e regular post. I don't know why but I really ...
