I'm from South London.

Nothing like walking over Vauxhall Bridge smoking a spliff outside the MI5 building while looking at the ugly Thames river.

I know of a similar kind of coffee shop in London, more like a social club for the Moroccan people (I'm not Moroccan but hey). they do have a dealer in the place though and he has some nice clean hashish but still export quality. Nice to hear you want to have a place where you can smoke and socializ...

I'm from the UK but haven't had the chance to find the Cheese or sample any in Amsterdam or here. A couple of friends tried it in Homegrown Fantasy in the summer of 2004 and said it was one of the best strains they sampled with a flavour and smell like no other. Can anybody point me in the right dir...

Yes, they did find my stash... I put the small baggies into a large "Smelly Proof" bag and I placed it in the bottom of my trolley luggage. There's a zipper at the bottom so I placed it there. Zipped it back up and placed my clothes over it. The customs guy lifted my clothes while searchin...

The new Barney's

Well, I'm not familiar with the roads in Amsterdam.

All I can say is that it is near the Bushdocter in Thorbeckeplein, over the bridge (Herengracht I guess) and just walk down for a little and it's on the left.

Hope this helps a little if not more.

The woman at the counter was very knowledgable asking us which type of buzz we wanted high or low, I wanted a sativa high so I purchased the Sour Sage and I also wanted a hash so I picked up the Manala Cream. The Manala Cream was my first smoke and it was my first day in Amsterdam and this helped me...

The place is nice with some locals inside. Tried the Dragon's Flight and White Pearl and both the strains I got here were not that impressive. I wanted to try out the Cheese if it were on the menu but a lot of stuff were not available. I would rate it higher if I could but I'll have to wait when the...

Got here on Sunday around mid-day and it was my first time in this coffeeshop. I had about 5 hours til my flight home. I purchased the Sharks Breath and the J1 Haze. The Sharks Breath didn't have a really nice taste but it did have the impact in the high. The J1 Haze tasted nice and skunky (reminds ...

I liked this place, kinda small with quite a bunch of locals.

I tried the Zinna or something and Royal D hash... quite nice. I also tried the White Dolphin and it was a great smoke.

I give this place a 7.5 out of 10.

The place is nice and right by the Singel and an alleyway where you can see the prostitutes. lol

The weed menu is good, tried the Amnesia Haze and Sour Diesel, both were nice samples.

Had a hot chocolate and felt really comfortable sitting on the seats.

I give this one an 8.5 out of 10.

I've never been to Barney's before, so it was my 2nd priority to visit the place. I went to the Barney's just down the road over the bridge from the Bushdocter (Thorbeckeplein). It was empty when I got there at about 4pm and was greeted by Derry the owner. The menu was nice with the average price fo...

I've only bee to De Dampkring twice.

The weed there is good (I like the Kush types), the atmosphere is lively but it really is too busy for my likings.

I rate this place 8.5 out of 10. Mainly for the smoke.

I choose my weed: If I know the strains on the menu. If I do not know the strains I would probably choose one with a name that stands out (even though it's just a marketing technique). Recommendations by the dealer or by friends. But most of the time I like to check out all the strains (if possible)...

UK Customs

After all the strains I've smoked in Amsterdam, I decided to bring some back to London. The plane journey to Heathrow was fine, my baggage came out of the baggage reclaim fine, my friend that was with me went out through the Declared Goods section and was fine, I went through the Nothing to Declare ...
