Re: AirB&B

Hold yer horses a bit, it isn't as black and white as some would put it.... Yes, AirBnB is quite safe if you take the necessary precautions and use a little common sense, but there for sure are also cheats and hustlers in there so choose a host that has a few recommendations by other users and use ...

Re: The Current State Of Amsterdam

All shops on Warmoesstraat are closed, meaning among others hunters, coin, baba and hill street blues (the one with graffiti, it is now a smokers friendly bar called hill street booze which is much the same in looks and clientele). Also grasshopper, old chuch, ghouse effect and others in that area....

Re: The Current State Of Amsterdam

Go! :) We went back this august after 7 years away from the city, extended the stay and are planning a new trip next month. Yes, the city has changed a lot, C/S scene also (sadly in many cases for the worse, but there is hope still and many great shops remain), but it is still one of the greatest p...

Re: Hash milkshakes

Is there any place I can find hash milkshakes? A lot of coffeeshops used to sell those but I can't find them anymore. On my 1st trip about 10 years ago i got a "spaceshake" from the Bulldog Palace in Leidsplein, it tasted disgusting. Basically the woman behind the counter just made a milk...

Re: Haarlem's alternative to the weed pass

Thx Hazy Neville... :) I see a few problems with this Hallmark system... 1. Some don't abide by the law now with the threat of loosing the license and possible jail. The Hallmark system seems to give shops more chances to screw up. Just saying... this isn't a viable alternative, at least from the l...

Re: Dutch General Elections - Sept. 12, 2012 (updated poll)

my friends there are saying fuck the weed pass. they will still carry on like usual regardless. i can't see this being implemented in amsterdam.... maybe a border town, but not there. we all know it would be economic suicide. Fingers crossed! I’m currently planning a trip in February; I’m going to ...

Re: Dutch General Elections - Sept. 12, 2012 (updated poll)

If weed pass goes through then it is shit....but you can still smoke in bars etc so you could always buy your eeedof the street and smoke in bars etc. I know it would not be ideal (i get the whole freedom element and loss of liberty etc) but you could still have a good time over there. Scoring of th...
