Looking at bnb site, hotel abba, hotel cornerhouse, craigslist. For now, priority is under 100 Euros, smoking in room (or maybe just balcony/outside), internet, easy transport to coffeeshops.

Damcity.nl wants 140 Euros+ per night (once u actually try to reserve room, contrary to their splash page). Is this standard for place to smoke? I saw greenhouse effect hotel (near coffee shop) was much cheaper but fully booked...

Thanks. I will get a pipe at one of the places you mentioned. Looking to stay 1 week+, less than 100 Euros/night, near coffeeshops, or easy to travel via public transport. Looked at 10 websites mentioned in the hotels section on this site, but they seem rather expensive. Any thoughts on just renting...

Plan on coming to Amsterdam for 1 week toward end of November. Read a lot of posts on strains to smoke, etc. Joints are ok, but what about if I wanted to get a pipe? Where to buy metal or glass pipe? And do most hotels have free wifi/smoking in the room?
