Re: Posting gifts to be sent home - may be not as simple!

Things that look like birthday cards or even a CD aren't really parcels , though. It wouldn't be practical to screen all things that size. And there may be a way of fitting a Kalashnikov into one, but I haven't worked it out yet. If they're planning to up the use of sniffer dogs – well, they only ...

I like to think that I never have to delete, and the beauty of this is that now I don't. The grace of glitches.

Re: Utopia

They might end up escaping the gallows altogether given that the school 100 metres away is itself closing next year This is, as I understand, a private institution for the thick and wealthy, which according to unsubstantiated rumour rejected an offer from a collective of coffeeshops in the area to ...

Re: Mouldy cweed

Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who don't get high from edibles, even when I bake them myself and know that the equivalent when smoked would be quite nice. Anyway, I smoked it. I'm alive. It was far less harsh on the throat than some French rolling tobacco I happened to have. The taste starte...

Re: Drive-by-Shooting Coffeeshop Roxy

Didn't get that either. Anyway, apparently there had been a previous incident, and the mayor decided to close it down, I suspect for good (although the article only says for the present). It was nothing special, and I suspect the only ACDers who went there did so, like me, when they were looking for...

Tertulia shouldn't be missed, for the ambience, not the smokables (OK but nothing special). The only thing memorable about Picasso is the BIG key for the loo – which is three flights up. Otherside I've passed without going into, likewise Mr K.

But why not just do them all? Problem solved.

Fuxake, I can't edit the title. Well, we've established that mould causes typos.

Mouldy weed

Many, many years ago I read – in a grower's guidebook that is reasonably non-bullshit, according to mates who've had more success growing than I've done – that if you had the patience to put your finished product in a dark place with water, and waited a couple of months, the resulting mould woul...

Re: Mayor of Amsterdam is suspending upcoming closure of coffeeshops.

Great news. But the article says that the mayor has suspended them until the Dutch Supreme Court rules on the wietpas in the spring. I thought they just did that, and said that it was legal.

Re: A good day out, and goodbye

And so on to the bittersweet end: Up at dawn to go to the new Eurolines terminal at Duivendrecht. I hate the coaches cordially, but they offer something no flight can: the opportunity to be detached from your luggage. Not that I expect any problems, because there so rarely are. A few young stoners m...

Re: A good day out, and goodbye

It's hard doing this one. Let's get the reviews out of the way, and a few pics. Not really worth trying to remember the details, so recommendations and pictures: Grinspoon from Katsu as special as ever, but their Charra s wasn't really worth buying, and I knew this, so bugger me why I went for it. T...

Green Place has 5g 'deals' in the sense that the sign says Jack Herrer, 1g for €7, 5g for €35. Presumably for the benefit of stoners who can't multiply. Kadinsky's 5 for 4 deals are probably the best, as you're saving the price of a g. Other places offer €5 off, like Utopia, or 10%, which is better ...
