Re: Took Plunge and Booked up

That's a shame but you've done the right thing on balance, especially with the two-day isolation on return.

Have to say I'm with your mate - a 5pm quarantine is 'not Amsterdam' and you might as well be at home. Fingers crossed for Jan.

Re: Took Plunge and Booked up

Yes please let us know how you get on. Like Willjay I've avoided foreign travel throughout the pandemic - too risky and too much hassle (as you have found out :( ) so would be nice to get a first hand perspective on it. Give us all an update when you return. Not sure I like the idea of visiting an A...

Re: Paradox

That's a shame :( Can't really understand the thinking behind this. Going by the old maxim of 'if it aint broke, dont fix it', it's a strange move. It was always a cramped shop anyway - you were lucky to get a seat if you wanted one. How does reducing the capacity help that? From an economic point o...

Red Leb An aside: About five years ags in Kashmir (the CS, not the place) I decided to buy some of their Red Leb for nostalgia's sake. The taste certainly took me back to being 15. Unfortunately the effects (or lack of them) served only to make me realise what a lightweight I must have been back th...

Good article. Bottom line, there's really no guarantee to know exactly what effects a strain of weed will have other than to smoke it and find out :D

Re: UK Prescrition Cannabis

So you're getting actual bud? On prescription? In the UK?

Better hope the Daily Mail doesn't find out this is going on, they'll have a field day.

This isn't making me feel any better...from yesterday: https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2020/10/local-businesses-add-to-pressure-on-amsterdam-to-clean-up-sex-and-drugs-reputation/  "There should be fewer music festivals and a ban on ‘amusement park’ activities such as beer bikes, water bike...

Re: Christ are we doing this again? Tourist ban??

I've just read that petition and the tone seems decidedly nasty. It starts all kid gloves about making Amsterdam a nicer place and then takes a turn into wanting the knock-on effects to be fewer 'low quality' food outlets and fewer (who guessed it? ) coffeeshops. So basically they want busine...
