Re: The Plug (formerly Utopia)

Selling the same strain claiming one batch is from cali and the other is european is total bullshit to me, but what ever, let the cali hype flow as long as it can. What it does illustrate is how easily and obviously the potential is there for unscrupulous establishments to exploit people....

Re: Blue Lagoon

It's OK but unspectacular. I've had reasonable Moroccan hash and a coffee from them when staying in the area, waiting to check in. I'd always prefer them to Vondel, which sells or at least sold sprayed weed in one of their incarnations. I'd have to check the directory to even remember what it was c...

Re: Blue Lagoon

It's ok, only ever really popped in there once or twice when I've been in the park so never really hung around. Vondel just up the road's had a modernish refurb a couple of years ago, generic place but inoffensive, got some decent Moby Dick there last year iirc. Really though, in that area, buy from...

Re: Closed coffeeshops in Dam?

I think most of the closures had happened or were in progress 3 years ago (though I'm terrible with time). The shops around the centruum with limited hours due to being close to a school are now back on full hours. De Graal is probably the most obvious one to have shut relatively recently, and of co...

Ahhhh, Grey Area with no queue / patrons packed in like sardines? I call shenanigans even without the self-promotion

Re: The Plug (formerly Utopia)

This, I agree they are trying to do. As I said before, the old ceiling of 18/g for GSC in Barneys has been raised considerably with the Cali introduction. I'm just amazed at the amount of outraged people who have never actually tried the stuff. Woot, we have common ground! :D I remember a few years...

Re: The Plug (formerly Utopia)

Lol, yeah ok, and that argument is, and always has been, a one-way trip to being ripped off in Amsterdam. How do you know the Greenhouse's xxx isn't worth €5 more than everywhere else until you've tried it, etc? The issue isn't whether it's nice or not, I'm sure it is or they really would have some ...

Re: The Plug (formerly Utopia)

"Dedicated to providing high quality products... if you don't mind paying an absolutely absurd amount for "cali weed", otherwise you're shit out of luck 'cause all those other tubs are empty." So disappointed what's happened here. Utopia had slipped a touch in my personal coffeeshop hierarchy in the...

Yeah that seems to have replaced Old Amsterdam @ no 35. Not sure I've ever seen that bit next door looking open.

Oh really? That's unfortunate, didn't pop in there last trip but previously I'd only ever had pretty good experiences there :(

Re: Decent Coffeeshops near Cuyp Market?(De Pijp)

I'm interested in a nice haze or other cerebral/active/chatty strain that'll be good for a long weekend of exploring AMS with my wife. Anyone tried their Dr Grinspoon recently? If any other coffee shops in the area have had any decent sativa strains going on I'd love to know! Club Media normally ha...

Re: Decent Coffeeshops near Cuyp Market?(De Pijp)

Club Media & Katsu probably have the most consistent product, they're usually my first ports of call in the area since De Graal closed. Ibiza isn't that bad (if the music isn't hideous) as it is pretty spacious and comfy, but avoid the higher priced strains as they're unlikely to be what they're lab...

Re: Truffles are amazing

Well there's the time back when mushies were still legal when we had some very strong ones (Hawaiian possibly), one mate and I had a great time but our other friend lost his mind. When I say lost his mind I don't mean he went crazy, just that he forgot everything he'd ever known. For hours on end hi...

Re: HET BALLONNETJE AND THE PASSAGE OF TIME.

Afaik Rusland has been up for sale, on possibly more than one occasion, in relatively recent times, so at a complete guess I'd doubt there still is any association.
