I've been in all seasons, but last February convinced me to only visit from May-October in future. Even when it's only -5C, it feels more like -25 with the Siberian wind blowing, not very pleasant at all. If you just want to sit inside and smoke it doesn't make much difference, but I like to explore...

I like going on my own, you can have as much interaction or solitude as you wish...careful where you point your camera (in coffeeshops and around the Red Light District in general), and you'll be fine. Even the RLD is safe enough if you don't cause any trouble.

Nice report, I've had the same thing happen twice in the Dam, once with a good mate and once with a woman...both turned totally strange and awkward! Must be something in the water.

I stuck with the mate, but ditched the woman and went off for a smoke with Stan. Very good decision.

I'm not sure about this craze, it will seem a bit extreme to the uneducated masses and make pot look like a "harder" drug. I hope it doesn't lead to a tabloid backlash against cannabis in general.
