Re: What Does Amsterdam Need ????

80 degree days in the winter   +1. They need a weather control machine for warmer weather, no precipitation, and no wind or cloudy/grey skies. Where are the Quartermaines when you need them? The coffeeshops would probably appreciate the end the "back door"/no grow po...

Re: Tangerine dream.

Alo, The Silver Bubble from Grey Area has always been one of my favorites over the years. Too bad they rarely carry Martian Mean Green or L.A. Woman - they're top smokes. On the sativa side, Utopia's Champagne Haze was incredible about a year ago. Does Utopia still carry that strain? Would really l...

Tangerine Dream and Liberty Haze, both from Barney's, are two of the best smokes I've had in Amsterdam. Amnesia coffeeshop usually duplicates most of the Barney's menu, however, I don't remember seeing either of those strains at Amnesia.

If you're just looking for the largest, roomiest coffeeshop: Prix d'Ami.

Re: WEED (or Hash) To GIGGLE

Casey Jones always gives me a happy high and a lot of laughter. I also remember having some Silver Pearl at Homegrown Fantasy several years ago, and I just could not stop laughing. Then the British girls in the next table started laughing and it caught on from table to table. It didn't take long bef...

Re: things to do ?

Try a free lunchtime concert at the Concertgebouw. They're usually only 1/2 an hour and are frequently incredible if you approach them with an open mind (cs gear will help facilitate that!). Walk back across the Museumplein, and you can have a wonderful afternoon at Vondelpark, which is to the left ...

Re: Recommendations for an amateur

The Blueberry or White Widow at 420 Cafe/De Kuil would be a good way to start. They're good smokes without being too overwhelming. The cs is very welcoming for us "older" tourists. You'll feel at home + they play great rock music. The Ace/White Widow at Paradox cs is another relaxing way t...

My home away from home. Awesome. There was an American budtender(I think his name was Brian? not sure) I told him that I did not smoke for almost 25 years because of my profession(Random Drug testing in N.Y.) He was very well educated in his merchandise and also told me that the staff takes courses...

Re: SAGE

That is a lovely strain, but somewhat hard to find. I've seen it the most at the original Dampkring. I was surprised to see it on the Greenhouse (RLD) menu in August of 2012, and it was very good, although I doubt they carry it often. There is a website for the most recent coffeeshop menus; you migh...

The Ceres Hilton is also very nice, if available. Never had a bad experience here. I've even smoked stuff from other coffeeshops here.

I hope James made a boatload of money when he sold the place. What a beautiful guy! :) I only went 3-4 times and had that magical Bas Special, as well as some excellent Jack Herrer, but James always made me feel like a guest in his home. I hope he's enjoying his music and all is going well. I haven'...
