Re: Old Guy Here

Haarlem is on my list of things to do this trip. Boy the internet has frozen as the lounge has filled up with people waiting for their overnight flights. I am in Atlanta which is deltas main hub.

My August Trip is Underway

Monday August 15, 2016 Everything I know about packing light, I learned hiking the Appalachian Trail. First rule is no cotton. On the trail cotton kills. That means no jeans, no cotton t-shirts, no cotton socks, no cotton underwear, no sweat shirts. Even when you don't have worry about freezing to d...

You will find that as you age, your ID is checked less and less. At age 60 I cannot remember the last time it was checked :-)

Re: The Mighty and I leave for Amsterdam in one month

I have been "training" for my next Amsterdam trip since my last trip. I recently upped my daily walk to 6.5 miles (10.5 klicks for you Europeans). I think that should cover me.

Re: The Mighty and I leave for Amsterdam in one month

Part of the appeal of Amsterdam for me, is being able to walk from my hotel to a Coffeeshop, and from there to a beer bar, and from there to a smoking bar, and from there to a broad variety of restaurants, all the while being able to pop back into my room for a respite when needed. I am willing to d...

Re: The Mighty and I leave for Amsterdam in one month

Copenhagen, good suggestion, but I have not considered a bike, because.... On one of my adventures in 2012 I was hit by a car crossing a street in Budapest. I spent four days in a Budapest trauma hospital because of two brain bleeds. After four days, they said that the bleeds had stopped and dischar...

Don't you need a special plastic bag to use a volcano?

Re: The Mighty and I leave for Amsterdam in one month

I will admit that my specialty beer bars are Belgium centric. I didn't have a bar specializing in Dutch craft beer. But they all have the atmosphere that I like (even though I am capturing my youth with my Amsterdam trips, I still don't want to go to a kiddy party bar), and they were all easy walkin...

Re: The Mighty and I leave for Amsterdam in one month

Fly, funny you should make that suggestion. I just printed out a map for Haarlem showing the shops that have come to my attention. I have visited Haarlem on past trips, but I was thinking that since I have so much time in Amsterdam on this trip, I ought to go again. Going to be interesting to me to ...

The Mighty and I leave for Amsterdam in one month

One month until departure. My new Mighty and I are making our first trip to Amsterdam together. I am planning for this trip to be pure debauchery of vaping weed, drinking beer, and eating delicious food. I am leaving on Monday, August 15, and flying into Dusseldorf. I am going to Dusseldorf because ...

Is Amsterdam style hash considered a concentrate

Some of you guys here convinced me to get a mighty for my pot smoking adventures in Amsterdam. My next trip is a month away. I want to try some of the Amsterdam hash in the mighty. Any advice?

Re: LLMReb's May 11-15 Trip Report (w/ pics)

You made Yo Yo sound good, but I already have 14 coffeeshops on my to do list, so I can't add another one. And in particular in the Sarphatipark area Katsu and De Graal are on the list. But I do appreciate the tables. One thing that I don't particularly like about 1ehulp, which was my main shop last...
